If that's where I think it is (I think I recognize the location though not the "cabin") that is trompe l'oeil on what I remember as a blank wall.

Thanks bud, I guess I could googled this me own self but 40ish years later. If I recall correctly this was the only intentional joke in the film.

Some years ago watching 2001 with a nephew one of the screens displayed ATM. Jesus they have to pay for food? Yes it costs big bucks to send Kubrick to Jupiter.
