At least 16 registered sex offenders list Cocoa Walmart as home address
WFTV (Orlando, Florida ABC affiliate)
COCOA, Fla. - Shoppers at a Walmart on Clearlake Road expressed concern Monday after learning that at least 16 registered sex offenders, some designated as sexual predators, listed the store as their home address.

State law allows homeless sex offenders to use the address of the closest physical address for their registration.

Most of the sex offenders listing the Walmart as their home address likely live across the street in a homeless camp set up in a wooded area, police said.

Seems to be a lot of aviation-related things there. There's a "Fantasy of Flight" attraction at nearby Polk City.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Tampa Bay Times wrote:Police: Florida man sits on gun, shoots himself in penis

JACKSONVILLE — A Florida man accidently shot himself in the penis when he sat down on a gun in the driver's seat in his car.

Several television news stations report that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the man ran into his girlfriend's house Friday after the gun discharged. She saw that he had a wound in his groin and took him the hospital, where he underwent surgery.

The sheriff's office said the 38-year-old man has a previous conviction for cocaine possession and may now face charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Not if you have ever been to The Ringling.

The replica of Michelangelo’s David statue in the Courtyard of the Museum of Art, against the backdrop of palm trees and Sarasota Bay represents The Ringling well. The image is so iconic that David is also the symbol of the city of Sarasota.

It is a fantastic place. Unforgettable.

Instagram model arrested for attacking police during nude encounter at Florida hotel
[…]
According to the Clearwater Police report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Dominguez (or Dominguez-Garcia, as written in the report) had trespassed onto the Edge Hotel’s property at approximately 4:20 a.m. on July 5. Officer Richard Edmonds later arrived on the scene to find Dominguez naked, so he handed her a towel. But instead of covering up, Dominguez used the towel to “strike [Edmonds] in the face by swinging it in a whipping motion.”

Dominguez then proceeded to kick at the responding officers. The police report says she also tried biting and spiting on an officer before delivering a “mule kick” to Edmonds as police attempted to restrain her.

So in Florida you can get bitten by gators and "nude models". Tough choice… 8)

It's only iconic if someone makes an association. You do but you don't even live here. The David is a piece of shit sculpture whose proportions are all screwed up. For it to look decent you have to get on your back underneath it. I saw the original in Florence, at the uffizzi I think, I stared at it for a while. A crowd gathered, seeing me and recognizing that my observations were worth noting. I then said "what a piece of shit". Damn wops escorted me out and beat the shit out of me in an alleyway. You don't forget things like that.

What were we talking about?

Palm Beach Post wrote:Woman's cremated remains wash up on Florida beach

DESTIN, Fla.

It was a bizarre discovery to say the least -- ashes of a DeKalb County woman were found washed up eight days ago on a Florida beach.

A man found the cremated remains within a plastic bag tagged with a name, date of birth and social security number. Also listed was the location of the woman’s death, DeKalb County, and the name of the funeral home that handled the cremation.
[…]
Sheriff’s officials made contact Wednesday with Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Georgia, which confirmed the bag contained the cremains of Ngacloan Hua.

Hua’s sister was contacted by sheriff’s evidence technician Monique Caldwell, according to a Sheriff's Office Facebook post.

The sister told Caldwell she and other family members had gone to a spot in Georgia to pray for her sister where, they believe, a box containing the ashes was stolen.
