You can lead them to knowledge, but you can't make them think.

I'm actually surprised that murder by drone isn't a commonplace thing right now.

1. Buy a drone with cash.
2. Position drone above your victim.
3. Shut it off.
4. Read about your victim's tragic death the next day.

Of course, if they trace the ownership back to you, just claim that you lost communication with your drone and never found it. Pure coincidence that it happened to land on your former boss.

There are people attaching guns and knives to drones right now, but that would be a little too obvious.

Pilot of British Airways reported to London police that a drone hit the plane

Original story:

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Drone surfing:

I read it's developing 950 W (roughly 1 HP, and presumably flight times in the minutes), seems barely sufficient. Rob, drag of a surfer?

Incredibly skeptical that any of this would work.

Ars Technica wrote:Sweden’s highest court bans drones with cameras

Cameras attached to drones fall foul of Sweden's strict surveillance laws, the country's highest court has ruled by slapping an outright ban on drone filming—unless the kit is used by a law enforcement agency or an expensive permit has been issued.

The Supreme Administrative Court of Sweden ruled that all drone cameras count as surveillance devices, and that they can now only be used to prevent crime or accidents. In a linked ruling, it decided that car- or bike-mounted cameras are legally fine.

The difference? A camera mounted on a helmet or handlebars, or behind a windshield, goes where its owner goes, but as drones are remotely operated, this means they are capable of spying on things that are otherwise out of sight of their pilot, and are therefore illegal.

OK it was based on existing off the shelf drone stuff.

But if it's piloted, is it really a "drone"?

Last night around 8:15 pm, officers were called out to the 200 block of Polaris Avenue for reports of a power outage affecting roughly 1,600 PG&E customers. When our officers arrived on scene, we were told by witnesses that a white adult man with white hair had been flying a drone in the area – which is not permitted – and the drone subsequently crashed into a high-voltage wire. The resulting power outage lasted until shortly after 11 pm, and impacted areas including City Hall and the city library, the latter of which had to be evacuated out of an abundance of caution. The damage of the drone crash totaled tens of thousands of dollars, and the repair work was completed early Friday morning.

I missed this the first time around.

I think it would be fun to use of these near a UFO enthusiast Ancient Astronaut Theorist. Just casually stand next to one and then have a friend "abduct" you with the drone.
