A goose or something?

So it was a duck after all.

I so wanted it to be a small dog. The nasty little yapping kind.

Not a goose or a duck.

Lunch.

The issuance of these licenses, printed on parchment-type paper, began in 1951, as the idea of Tenney T. Johnson. The Vernal Chamber of Commerce liked the concept so much that the next year it began handing out the licenses to tourists. Soon it was handing out over 60,000 of them a year.

Reportedly, some people would refuse them, saying, "we haven't time to hunt."

That wouldn't be a very patriotic chair. Sitting on the flag or the eagle is not how you show respect to those symbols.

I have seen flag code violations almost as outrageous from people who apparently were being patriotic by their own lights, and I don't mean hippies.

I wouldn't assume that pic was 'shopped.

The US flag salute was officially changed to avoid looking like the Fascist salute.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellamy_salute
...

In order to prevent further confusion or controversy, the United States Congress instituted the hand-over-the-heart gesture as the salute to be rendered by civilians during the Pledge of Allegiance in the United States, instead of the Bellamy salute. This was done when Congress amended the Flag Code on December 22, 1942.
