ed did not wish us good morning today. He must be dead. Dibs on his stuff.

Sorry. Really shitty sleep; up at 3 wandering around like fucking Marley's ghost. Groggy as hell and simply forgot. That, though, does not lessen the genuineness of my good wishes to you all this (late) morning.

Good morning.

I'm afraid that we must now live in a post-ed world ruled by pseudo-ed.

Slept much better, thank you for asking. Off to Tampa for Day 2. Soft day yesterday. Something Rob would understand (see what I did there?).

Anyway, good morning to you all. See you later.

We know that you have killed the real ed and taken his place. Tell us where the body is so that we can go there and be sure he's dead pay our final respects.

Someone is firing weapons a couple of houses down the road. Thought of ed.
The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Gawd rest ed.

And distant gunfire.

Good morning. Achey from carrying crap into and out of the show (which sucked btw). Did pick up a not "rare" but unusual 1908 Luger in 9mm. The commercial ones are mostly .30 Luger.

So what makes a firearm rare enough to be "rare"?

Thank you.

Well ... I recall in my book collecting days that some guy (who is an obvious authority) stated that a book has to have less than 10 or so copies extant ti be considered "rare". That would make a First Folio not rare. I, myself, own a couple of books that might be unique so, very rare. But having zero value because I'm the only idiot that would give them shelf space.

For guns? Dunno. A hundred? Less? I don't count things like "Butch Cassidy's .32" because those are really one offs. A Borchardt is rare in immaculate condition I suppose in that you don't see them come up very often.

I think that "rare" is an affectation of the seller much as "commonplace" is an affectation of the buyer.
