https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/fo ... 510853002/Mayochup: A disgusting new condiment or just what you've been waiting for?
It’s the newest creation from Heinz.
Is it disgusting, a rip-off product or just the thing you have been waiting for all your life?
Those are just some of the social media reactions to the possible launch of a new Heinz condiment called Mayochup.
Heinz is allowing consumers to vote on whether this new product — a pre-made blend of mayonnaise and ketchup in one container — should be sold in the United States.
From now through April 15, you can vote in a Twitter poll, and if the poll closes with 500,000 yes votes, Americans will have their chance. Currently the product is only available in some Middle East Gulf states.
I sometimes make salad dressing using 2 parts mayo to 1 part ketchup. It's also quite good with french fries if you add a dab of mustard. Not much of a pain to make but I approve of a packaged shortcut. Although it might be hard to find room in the fridge for it. My wife calls me a condiment junky.
If they do it (and of course they will because they're marketing the hell out of it) I much prefer the name Ketchonaise.
To be real though, I'd much perfer McDonalds' Big Mac Sauce prepackaged. Much harder to nail. Mcdonald's Big Mac Sauce Copycat Recipe
