In the Days of my Youth...

Post by asthmatic camel » Mon Jun 25, 2018 2:18 am

...I was told what it means to be a man...

Feel free to post your nostalgia here.

Here I am, Cheadle Hulme School's Under 15's Lacrosse Goalie, circa 1978

Shit happens. The older you get, the more often shit happens. So you have to try not to give a shit even when you do. Because, if you give too many shits, you've created your own shit creek and there's no way out other than swimming through the shit. Oh, and fuck.

Are you the character in the back left, or is that Ron Weasley?

"Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks. His eyes were like steel, cold, hard. Had a shock of hair, red like the fires of Hell ..."

It's starting to become clear....what lead up to the Cartmen doll incident.

Don't do it, AC.

After the first lottery I wa number 240 or something. So I took a 1A meaning I was eligible for immediate call up. Thing was that if I was NOT called up I went to the end of the line for the next lottery. So I was effecitvely out of it at the end of that year.
They changed the rules I think so that if you were a 240 you remained a 240 year after year.
Anyhoo, my ute.

I have no ... nostalgia.

I am ... timeless.

It seems somehow unseemly to have been young, for an elder god. Image
