Android

Post by Bruce » Wed Sep 26, 2018 10:33 am

Hello Android my old friend
I've come to play with you again.
I can't believe they still call you a phone.
All my free time is gone. It's blown.
And the parks and the ocean and the theaters are all still there.
And I don't care.
I found my joy
In Android.
Such potential!

Solitaire and Candy Crush
It all gives me such a rush.
I played Merge Dragons till the light of day.
All my free time is wasting away.
And my life and the country and environment have gone to hell.
.........oh well.
It's all swell.
On Android.
Such potential!

I prefer a shiny new iPhone
Cause then you are never alone
You don't even need your hands
Cause it obeys all your commands
And the camera is very superb
Capturing all the things of the world
And the video is much like a dream
Remembering most everything
And if you start to miss your friends
You can facetime them once again
You never know what's going to happen

Doesn't match the rhythm of The Sound of Silence, but I'll give you a one-handed golf clap for rhyming.

The only adverse effect my tablet has on me: reading stretched out on my couch I quickly fall asleep.

It's not the same with old-fashioned paper books, who don't even need a battery, the lousy things. Must be the mind-control radiations…

Not unpleasant, in fact. :P

Disturbed took a wussy hippie song from the sixties and made it epic.

I don't want to work
I want to tap on my phone all day
I don't want to play
I just want to tap on my phone all day
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

My tastes in tech are very eclectic.
My link with the past will never be sundered.
I love the 'net, but Western Electric
(the one true black phone) is the model 500.

Don't hear of my phone and say "get a horse!"
It's the modular touch tone last version of course.

Robinson's on a bender again! :)
You can lead them to knowledge, but you can't make them think.

You might be right. I mean, I posted like three times in the same month.

Including a brief poem.
