Does kale allegedly cure cancer or something?

Postby Abdul Alhazred » Sat Mar 28, 2015 6:44 pm

Kale was of those veggies "nobody" liked and sold due to low price.

Now it appears to be popular and expensive.

Can one of you TV watchers explain? :P

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

It is known that sharks who eat kale do not get cancer.

I like kale. It turns our rather dreary green and pleasant land into an hallucinogenic phantasmagoria during the normally dismal Summer months. :)

I believe kale is a brassica, and so does The Daily Telegraph

And I am a cabbage.

On Mondays.

In the right amounts, it is very easy to grind it up and add it to food to improve its nutrition without affecting the taste. mystiqalwolf adds it to red sauces and smoothies, and I don't even notice it's there.

Reminds me of a health food puritan I knew who was taking garlic pills for something or other.

My reaction: All of the health benefits with none of the pleasure. :)

Well, if you LIKE kale, you have the option of using whole leaves.

Odd. That appears to be a field of oilseed.

In a country where they boil & mash together everything (clapshot?), they don't make that kind of distinction.

To be my usual pedantic asshole:

Okay, so the yellow flowers are characteristic of rape, used not as a vegetable much but mainly to make oil. A special variety is used to make Canola.
