The post-antibotics era

Prof Timothy Walsh, who collaborated on the study, from the University of Cardiff, told the BBC News website: "All the key players are now in place to make the post-antibiotic world a reality.

"If MCR-1 becomes global, which is a case of when not if, and the gene aligns itself with other antibiotic resistance genes, which is inevitable, then we will have very likely reached the start of the post-antibiotic era.

"At that point if a patient is seriously ill, say with E. coli, then there is virtually nothing you can do."

Such negativity. I'll be dead of old soon so I don't care.

Drink heavily, smoke strong Cuban cigars rolled on the thighs of virgins, take LSD, chase the dragon or inject directly if you're brave and swim to the bottom of Lake Ed and have some fun with Lister's decomposing mermaids.

There are possibly better ways to say farewell to existence but that sounds pretty good.

As long as Lister isn't there.
Shit happens. The older you get, the more often shit happens. So you have to try not to give a shit even when you do. Because, if you give too many shits, you've created your own shit creek and there's no way out other than swimming through the shit. Oh, and fuck.

You all need to look at the positives.

The economy will be sure to improve, and there will be plenty of jobs to go around.

Less trash and fuel consumption means cleaner environment.

Less people means maybe the rainforests will grow back.

Jeesh, stop being so negative you guys! The end of humanity doesn't mean the end of the world.
Such potential!
