Happy Rare Disease Day: Praise Jesus!

Postby Doctor X » Mon Feb 29, 2016 5:59 pm

Take a moment to remember how much he loves the children!

It took the Torrances three years to get their youngest son Dylan, now 12, diagnosed with Partial Triplication 15 - a mutation of his 15th chromosome.

It is an illness affecting only 19 people globally, and he is the only person to have this specific defect.
. . . .
Dylan is unable to speak, has severe epilepsy and uses a wheelchair.

What further evidences--thanks--of his love do you need?

EXPLAIN THAT SKEPTICS!!

I think the real question is whether or not it was caused by a vaccine.

http://www.curesma.org/sma/about-sma/
SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) is a disease that robs people of physical strength by affecting the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, taking away the ability to walk, eat, or breathe. It is the number one genetic cause of death for infants.

SMA is caused by a mutation in the survival motor neuron gene 1 (SMN1). In a healthy person, this gene produces a protein that is critical to the function of the nerves that control our muscles. Without it, those nerve cells cannot properly function and eventually die, leading to debilitating and often fatal muscle weakness.

SMA affects approximately 1 in 10,000 babies, and about 1 in every 50 Americans is a genetic carrier. SMA can affect any race or gender.

TIMMY! suffers from spina bifida accompanied by hydrocephalus.

Unfortunately, not a rare disorder:

And here all this time I thought it was simply bad animation technique...
