Totally cure Type 2 diabetes?

Postby Pyrrho » Sun Aug 27, 2017 5:30 pm

Pardon me for being skeptical. I've read the article and as I understand it, Type 2 diabetes is not that simple. There is a cycle involving multiple organs.

Control, possibly. "Cure" is always a red flag, although he does talk about "remission," which is a different thing.
The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

That one long page of red flags. He's doing nothing more than selling a diet plan for $400 a month. The exact same low carb diet the doctor would tell you to go on. If you cut out carbs, fat and completely then your type-2 probably will go into remission. Until you stop your diet and boom, its back again.

Parse this
SB: Insurance companies, are you working with them?

SI: Well, they are excited because they can save costs. In America, each state we have who pays your health care. It’s either your employer if you’re at a large company, and most companies will cover it. So we sell both to employers.

Was there an answer there? I can't parse it. There seem to be important words missing. I deduce the answer is no and the reporter didn't catch.

Shame on Techcrunch for not chewing this guy up.

And not for the stated average of $500 a month either. A 30 day supply of Metformin can be had for $20 without insurance.
