Questions re: Bio-Shock (Infinite)

Postby Cool Hand » Wed May 01, 2013 11:00 pm

Gamers:

I've never seen or played any version of Bio-Shock except the trailer I just watched for Bio-Shock Infinite, which I understand is the latest incarnation of this award-winning FPS.

I haven't bought or played a decent FPS since Half-Life and Half-Life 2, which I still consider my personal favorite video game of all time. HL2 has everything I love about gaming, and at times while immerse in the game play, it scared the hell out of me. I loved that about it.

Anybody have experience with Bio-Shock? Likes? Dislikes? How long did it take you to complete all game play, if you did? Any way to compare it to HL or HL2? Got the latest version, or an earlier one?

Thanks. It looks pretty damn good from the trailer, but it's expensive.

I would say Bioshock: Infinite is as close to Half-Life as any FPS managed so far. When I played through Infinite I could see clearly that they wanted to recreate HL experience.

The playthrough varies in time. If you put it on easy and run from objective to objective, then you can finish it in about 10 hours.

If you play it on Hard and enjoy the world and the story, you could probably spend 24 hours of game time total.

Thanks, Grammy. Awesome. That's exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping to hear.
