Shit happens. The older you get, the more often shit happens. So you have to try not to give a shit even when you do. Because, if you give too many shits, you've created your own shit creek and there's no way out other than swimming through the shit. Oh, and fuck.

Not exactly.

More like a deathbed conversion to the non-faith.

Since she's a Catholic, she can be anything she wants. The Catholic Church is over with. It's been useless since Martin Luther and the printing press. It's only function was to preserve the four Gospels of the NT. That's it. It's like Judaism: It only existed to bring Jesus Christ into the world--it is now a pointless religion.

How exactly is that inconsistent with being an atheist?

Also please answer some of my other questions.

Thank you.

And those gospels are important why? Is there some evidence that there is any sort of intellect greater than our own behind them?

I think that you have your result and then smash the facts into some shape to fit them. Your silly beliefs could concern Middle Earth, you would accept any support.

You are a coward and unable to provide any rational justification for what you purport to believe. That lame and pathetic thread that you started to "prove" god or some nonsense was the work of a 12 year old.

Come on now, do you have proof that the documents that you appeal to for support for your beliefs are the work of any agency other than man?

Because atheism is not the end of this.

And I think you know by now that if you ask a serious question in a respectful way, I'm going to answer it. I have so far.

Do you really think we are interested in the rantings of a cowardly liar? You are an object of mockery, nothing more.

As I have said elsewhere, the purpose of my posts is to illustrate the paucity of intellectual power behind your beliefs. Your constant dodging and excuse making is there for all to see. It is no different than dealing with a charlatan or fool who buys into remote viewing or clairvoyance or ghosts or any number of other unsupportable fantasy.

What you are saying is that a question about the basis for all religious belief on this planet, not the least your own, is beneath your attention because of it's use of language. Now, an independent observer might believe that but it is far more likely that he'd think that you simply have no answer.

I think you look the fool here.

Brother Edward:
When I ask about your day job, I'm not asking for personal identifiable information, just a general idea.

For example my day job is software engineer (at least that's my title), and I work for a non-military non-law-enforcement federal agency.

The only person here who figured out my secret identity (rather than just being told), didn't do it from my job description. That would be DrMatt, a classical composer whose day job is systems analyst (or something like that) for a large public hospital.

Unlike you and DrMatt, I have no highfalutin avocation after earning a living. :BigGrin3:

How about it? And no nonsense about not having a day job if you happen to earn your living at night. :)
