His visit is a big deal for her. She does not get that it is not a big deal for me. She insists that we go to church tomorrow. I will. I suggested we go tonight so as to avoid the crowd and she just looked at me all funny like.

I'm guessing it is the 'crowd' she enjoys.

While I'm there I will pray for DocX and ed. I will not take communion because I am unworthy.

Not directly related to the OP but the Pope needs his own thread and I picked this one. :)

Philly's Preparations for Pope Francis are Like a Dry Run for the Apocalypse
Gizmodo

... On Thursday night at 10pm, a “secure vehicle perimeter” went into effect, blocking off all roads within the “Pope Zone.” On Friday at 6pm, a larger “Traffic Box” will materialize across Center City. At 10pm, the Box hops the river into West Philly, and the secure vehicle perimeter expands east to Independence Hall. For those not familiar with the city, this boils down to a 4.6 mile square chunk of metropolis — including some of the city’s most densely trafficked streets — transforming into a no car zone overnight. ...

Oooh! Oooh!

The latest Roman Catholic conspiracy theory.

It's from Pam Geller, so you know there's a Muslim slant to it too. :MuhammadBoom:

From her own website ...
Cardinal Danneels admits: “Mafia” club brought down Benedict XVI to make Church “much more modern”

Pope Benedict spoke honestly about Islam. Now it has come to light that he was being undermined by a shadowy cabal that wanted to install Cardinal Bergoglio — the present Pope Francis — as Pope and “modernize” the Catholic Church. One thing they’ve certainly succeeded in doing is ending all resistance to the global jihad that has victimized hundreds of thousands of Christians. The Church leadership is betraying its own people. ...

I was merely being a dick. It's what I do best. Trying to point out that 'The Pope', regardless of who holds the office, is just another human pretending to be something he isn't: God's personal representative on Earth.

As is well known. :P

He's also a head of state. If you think that's bullshit, just remember he's powerful enough to shield Bernard Law from American justice. :)

I didn't know that one! Thanks.

But, it misses my point: I couldn't care less about the office of The Pope also being a head of state. (Actually, I do. The irony is...deliciously ironic) The most offensive part about The Pope is that the office claims he's Gods personal rep on Earth.
