Jews have dybbuks, too.

But they aren't actually mentioned in the Bible.

And it's really the little details that count.

Like the bit about Jinn playing grab-ass in the toilet.

Ah, the dybbuks! There is an excellent short SF story about them.

I searched for the engraving showing some demon/devil on the commode (trying to keep his tail out of the… unmentionable), but nope. I'll find it later.

If there's too much djinn, where's the tonic?

Salman Rushdie made a similar joke in one of his novels. 8)

I didn't poach it from him. I am far too shallow to go fishing in salman infested waters.

Dutch-Moroccan woman in court for exorcism-related abuse

A Dutch-Moroccan woman will appear in court in Roermond on Thursday accused of the serious long-term physical abuse of her nine year-old son by ‘driving out spirits’, the Volkskrant reports.

The 39 year-old mother believed her son was possessed by a djinn, described in the Koran as a spirit made of smokeless fire. Many Muslims, including in the Netherlands, believe in the existence of such spirits, the paper writes.
