I think they are better described as "official opinions of the POTUS"

Meanie.

Could be that he would like to fire him, but it would be impractical because then somebody else would have to go through the whole senate confirmation process, and then get up to speed with everything that's happening in the State Dept. Easier to just stick with the guy who is already there.

Though, to be serious, 100,000 is considerably less than a milli[Get on with it!--Ed.], he is suppose to be firing everyone, right?

Sessions was to resign/get fired months ago.

Old news I guess.

Perhaps I am missing it but it appears that whatever one thinks of This Mess So Far, foreign policy has not been a problem. Yeah, NK is behaving like a shit. Lone Fat Boy would have done so if Hillary or George Washington was President. Syria did not escalate fully into a cluster fuck--nice smacking on the nose with a newspaper reminding that, now, "lines are lines."

Sure, he is going back and forth "maybe Paris Accords don't suck, maybe, keep Iran deal for now, maybe something else," but that is basic diplomacy.

So what has Tillerson done that is "bad?"

Maybe I missed it, I still think 100,000 is less than a million and irrevocable cerebral damage is irrevocable cerebral damage. . . .

Granted. I was just positing the theory that if you had that much money, would you worry about being fired?
When you have that much money it's because you crave power. And you worry about losing that power.

Multiple reports from sources that the end is nigh for Rex. Nothing official yet.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/30/us/p ... trump.html

"perhaps within the next several weeks"
WASHINGTON — The White House has developed a plan to force out Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson, whose relationship with President Trump has been strained, and replace him with Mike Pompeo, the C.I.A. director, perhaps within the next several weeks, senior administration officials said on Thursday.

Mr. Pompeo would probably be succeeded at the C.I.A. by Senator Tom Cotton, a Republican from Arkansas and key ally of the president on national security matters, according to the White House plan. Mr. Cotton has signaled that he would accept the job if offered, said the officials, who insisted on anonymity to discuss sensitive deliberations before decisions are announced.

Mr. Trump has not signed off on the plan developed by John F. Kelly, the White House chief of staff, officials said, but the president is said to have soured on Mr. Tillerson and is ready to make a change at the State Department. Mr. Trump spoke harshly about Mr. Tillerson in front of White House aides as recently as Thursday but did not seem ready yet to replace him, according to one person close to the president.

For all his public combativeness and his “you’re fired” reputation from reality television, Mr. Trump is often reluctant to dismiss advisers. The disclosure of Mr. Kelly’s transition plan may have been a way to nudge him into making a decision, according to that person. It may also have been meant as a not-too-subtle message to Mr. Tillerson that it is time to go.
Sources are said to be "senior administration officials."

Not sure it matters any more which incompetent they install.

Hey, at least they are running the country "like a business," with the usual corporate happy horseshit.
