Kind of my point here. Or one of them.

I need to see if my 401k has any AT&T stock in the mix.

Thought net neutrality only came in under obama. Was it really horrible before that?

NO "net neutrality" == the way it was from day one up to a few years ago.

None of that bad stuff happened in all that time.

Nor will it now, other than you Netflix users paying your fair share for hogging bandwidth.

I woke up this morning and discovered that my DSL router has been replaced by an old Hayes 14400 baud modem.

The impetus did not exist before that. When the ISP's figured out they could essentially charge twice for the some packet, they did. That's why congress acted.

They could have always charged more for bandwidth hogs.

In other news: abandoning net neutrality will not set your router on fire, nor will it send your "stuff" folder to your employer. So relax, it's all good.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Why is any move toward more government arbitrarily defined as "progress"? :p
