Persona non grata du jour

Sarah Sanders Joins List Of Top Trump Aides Confronted At Restaurants
All it took was one Facebook post and it seemed the whole Internet, or Twitter at least, knew what happened at The Red Hen in Lexington, Va., on Friday night.

The Facebook status update posted by a server at the small farm-to-table restaurant in the Shenandoah Valley read: "I just served Sarah huckabee sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner asked her to leave." The post has since been deleted.

Within hours, The Red Hen's Yelp page was inundated with both positive and negative reviews, reacting to the treatment of White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.
...
It is not the first time politics has played a role in Trump aides' dinner plans. Tension has been building surrounding President Trump's "zero-tolerance" policy that caused migrant children to be separated from their parents.
So we should have throw the kids in jail along with the parents?
On Wednesday, Trump backtracked and signed an executive order to end his family separation policy.

But this reversal didn't prevent officials and aides in Trump administration from facing confrontations at restaurants in the Washington, D.C., area.

On Tuesday, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled out of an upscale Mexican eatery a couple blocks from the White House. A video shows protesters chanting "shame" while Nielsen sits in the corner.

It does beg the question, why would a restaurant want to be known for allowing protesters in, and ruining everyone's meal?

That can't be good for business.

Wow. You're right. They're not going to be in business much longer.

Ex-White House Ethics Chief: Sanders’ Tweet on Restaurant Eviction Violates the Law
When Sarah Huckabee Sanders took to her official Twitter account to recount how she was kicked out of a Virginia restaurant, it launched a vicious online attack campaign against the establishment. It also amounted to a violation of federal ethics laws. At least according to the former head of the U.S. office of Government Ethics. “Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left,” Sanders tweeted on Saturday from her official @PressSec account as online reports about the incident began to spread. “Her actions say far more about her than about me.”

Walter Shaub, who was the federal government’s top ethics watchdog for five years until mid-2017, said the tweet amounted to a clear violation of federal ethics laws. “Sarah, I know you don’t care even a tiny little bit about the ethics rules, but using your official account for this is a clear violation of 5 CFR 2635.702(a),” Shaub wrote on Twitter. He was referring to a section of the law that says government employees can’t use their public position for private gain. “It’s the same as if an ATF agent pulled out his badge when a restaurant tried to throw him/her out,” Shaub explained.
How is that?
She "politely left," w/o whipping out a badge and I don't see how she gained anything. It seems like a bit of a stretch IMHO...

I wouldn't have had her thrown out.

I would have had the waiter bring her the wrong food and blatantly lie about it actually being exactly what she ordered.

Her: "Excuse me, I ordered the chicken"

Me: "No you didn't, you ordered a cheeseburger"

Her: "No I didn't."

Me: "Yes you did. It's right on the ticket, C-H-E-E-S-E-B-U-R-G-E-R", (Shows her the ticket that clearly says "Chicken"), "Still I am feeling generous, so you can change your order. Did you want chicken?"

Her: "Yes"

Me: Comes back with a big plate of ham. Etc.

Then the next day, I'd make an insulting tweet about how confused SHE was

Really the only question is what's good for business.

One may snark about "virtue signalling", but depending on the customer base, that's not necessarily bad for business.
And discrimination is allowed other than in cases where it is explicitly prohibited.

There could legally be Democrat restaurants and Republican restaurants.

But allowing protestors in is bad for business period.

And there, ladies and gentleman, is an example of a liberal with TDS deliberately choosing to behave like an asswipe.

Is that a good role model for how future liberals should behave?

So would spitting into their food, which I've seen talked about.

It's going to end badly.

As a non-serious suggestion it's pretty good shtick.

This time it's not Nyar who needs to lighten up.

That's exactly why I would leave politely if asked by the staff.

I might also have told her that her meal was on the house, because I was going to get some other restaurant to pay for it.

The present her with the check because the other restaurant said "Lol, no" when I demanded they cover her meal

You are becoming like the psychotic ex-girlfriend I never had, Xouper.

No, you didn't leave anything at my place.

Now go away and leave me alone
