Indeed. Hard to 'ignore' someone if their quotes and such still trigger a notification. I presume if you ignore someone, they cannot PM you?

Then that spells the end of the democratic party. Maybe not billionaires but millionaires many times over.

This is the bizarre bit that needs explanation. You can't even say that he's not condescending.

Trump was there at the right place and time while the Democrats failed by running Hillary for Messiah and the standard brand Republicans were running for lovable loser without being lovable.

I just look at threads that are marked that I have shared my Vast, Yet Humble, Yet MagNIfIcent, Wisdom in. I suppose it is easier to see that someone quoted you.

Though I will confess a sort of satisfaction at the tantrums Tinkerbell took knowing I would not see whatever racist "UR A FAG! SUck COCK" embarrassment to Our Species he produced, while knowing he was too vain to disengage. I suggest you might find that helpful.

Though remember, as "They Say," Ignoring someone does not mean no one else can see them or the conversation. Though, when someone told me that Elsewhere, my response was, "I don't care."

You won't see me touting any Democratic member of Congress as being representative examples of working class heroes either. Even the "poor" ones are merely rich as opposed to super rich. Our government is controlled by the rich, solely for the interests of the rich. Everyone else better hope that the government's benefit them by coincidence because they surely won't by design.

I just don't get how so many people can fool themselves otherwise.

Both parties are billionaire factions.

Trump broke ranks by running for office instead of buying politicians.

Mike Bloomberg did the same on a smaller scale.

That's the thing most people fail to get.

The Democrats don't care about you unless you are rich. If you are not rich then anything they do that helps you is entirely by accident on their part. Otherwise, you can go fuck yourself as far as they are concerned, you filthy poor person you.

The Republicans don't care about you unless you are rich. If you are not rich then anything they do that helps you is entirely by accident on their part. Otherwise, you can go fuck yourself as far as they are concerned, you filthy poor person you.

The only difference is that the Dems do a better job at pretending otherwise. Say what you want about 'false equivalencies' blah blah blah, in this aspect they are absolutely 100% the same.

I tend to agree.

I would suggest that it is less conspiratorial than you make it sound though. What it is is that they go after things that are of selfish self interest. They are far too selfish to help oneanother, unless their specific interests coincide.

What's the point of being rich if you can't/don't kick around the peasants from time to time.

The point of being rich is to gain access to more choices via your means. You don't need to be rich to kick around peasant, a shift manager at some shitty retail outfit can do that no problem.

Yeah, but that shift manager can make a handful of lives miserable.

A sufficiently rich person has the means to make thousands of lives miserable, millions if he puts in some effort. And the rich person thinks he is clearly superior to these lowlife scummy poors who deserve whatever misery he inflicts on them, whereas the shitty shift manager most likely is just angling to be kicked less hard than his underlings

Some rich people really don't like kicking around the peasants. Really.

But it's OK they have people like that shift manager to do the unpleasant stuff for them.

I agree, but I don't think it's an inherent quality in a rich person.

No, its not an inherent quality. It's an emergent quality. It comes with the territory.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by that. Do you mean that a person who becomes rich (or is rich) will eventually "emerge" to think they are superior to those with less, or am I misunderstanding your point?

Pretty much. Kind of along the same lines as "power corrupts" and all that
