Poll: Hillary Clinton Favorability Rating Remains at All-Time Low

Post by ed » Sat Oct 06, 2018 8:49 pm

Pres. Trump more popular by 5-point margin.
http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/10/02/g ... cle_footer

bwa bwa bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa
Hillary Clinton's favorability rating remains at an all-time low 36 percent, according to a new Gallup poll.

The poll, which was based on telephone interviews September 4-12, found that the former secretary of state's favorability is unchanged from November 2017.

Sixty percent of respondents had an unfavorable opinion of Clinton, and four percent had no opinion. The polling firm has measured Clinton’s favorability going all the way back to 1992.

Her 36-percent favorability rating is down seven percentage points from where it stood on the eve of the 2016 election.

President Trump, meantime, had a favorability rating of 41 percent in the poll, which is actually higher than just before the 2016 election

Why would anyone care.

Seriously?

Who is paying for a favorability rating survey on Hillary?

A trial balloon for 2020 by the Hillary forces?

A bit of none to amusing comedy by the Republicans?

I can’t imagine Trump ever praying.... except, for Hilary to run in 2020.

Realistically all the contenders are just as bad or worse. Is there any such thing as a moderate Democrat any more?

Is it bad that I look back now at Hillary and think "we really dodged a bullet there".

I can't imagine what 8 more years of Bush/Obama policy would have done to America.

I didn't believe Trump would actually change direction like this. I figured it was all hot air.

Bill and Hillary Clinton to Start 13-City Paid Speaking Tour After Midterms

Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will embark on a 13-city tour starting next month with paid joint appearances across the U.S. and Canada, they announced Monday.

A ticket to see the political couple could cost more than a music concert or professional sports game. The least expensive tickets for the first event in Las Vegas were going for about $72 on Ticketmaster. Tickets for an event in Oakland were listed for as much as $750.
[…]
Another former first lady, Michelle Obama, will also be on a paid arena tour at the same time as the Clintons. Starting Nov. 13, Obama will be on a 10-city book tour for her memoir, titled “Becoming,” with tickets from $29.50 to more than $3,000.
[…]
The Clinton events, produced by Live Nation, “will feature joint on-stage conversations with the two leaders sharing stories and inspiring anecdotes that shaped their historic careers in public service, while also discussing issues of the day and looking towards the future,” Live Nation said in a statement. :BlowChunks:

We have a word here, actually two words "White Trash". Given that it is a pejorative directed against white people (the Clinton's in this case) it won't evoke howls of outrage like the evocative "wetback" or "froggie" given the PC nature of this forum. Umm where was I? Oh yeah, "White Trash. That phrase epitomizes the Clintons. They may be worth going on a Billion but they'll still steal from a blind man.

I wonder if howls of leftie protest will follow Bill. Probably not.

Hey Abdul, you are on DU, how about ginning up a #metoo protest that will follow them around?

But then again, we wouldn't have this great upcoming speaking tour, coming soon to a town near you!

Hillary: Allegations Against Bill Different Than Ones Against Trump, Kavanaugh
Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made head-scratching remarks in a new interview with CNN while defending her husband against the allegations of sexual misconduct that he has faced over the years.

CNN's Christiane Amanpour interviewed Clinton about the joint speaking tour she is going on with Bill, where tickets to attend are going for up to $700 each, according to the Daily Mail.

"You say that you are going to talk about the difficulties that your husband went through, that you went through," Amanpour said. "Obviously you're going to be prepared to have questions about that moment in 1998, the impeachment, the allegations of sexual [misconduct] against your own husband."
...
Clinton responded by saying the allegations against her husband were totally different because partisan politics were involved.
Seriously????
Then Skank Of America could start in...

I am not surprised. A significant chunk of her support (including mine) was based on preference to Trump, not approval in an absolute sense. So without an election at stake, why would people like her more?
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

A significant chunk of Trump's support mutatis mutandis ...

Meanwhile over by Free Republic, links to a number of right wing outlets (Breitbart, Fox, and several others) have been running articles about how Democrats on the campaign trail fear Hillary as the kiss of death.

They all trace back to this one in the Washington Examiner, which I suppose is also a right wing source, but also the only one with the surface appearance of an old style real news story and some plausible alleged quotes not ripped out of context.

'Kiss of Death': Democrats keep Hillary off campaign trail
...

Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, are due to go back on the road next month, embarking on a 13-city tour in which they will conduct “one-of-a-kind conversations" about "the most impactful moments in modern history". But Democratic strategists are relieved that their first event will be 12 days after Americans go to the polls on Nov 6.

"I think they're measuring how they can have the best, positive impact and have kind of decided to wait until after the election," said Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.

One House Democrat said the Clintons were not missed. "I have not seen Hillary or Bill at all — and I’m very grateful for that," he said. "When I think of people who have been part of our push to retake the House, I just don’t think of them at all. ... I think it’s a very good thing that they’re not being visible. It wouldn’t help our candidates."

...
I note that the name "Clinton" alone refers to Hillary and not to ex-president Mister.

I approve of that stylistic improvement. Yeah OK nobody asked me. :)

Again: Why does anyone give a shit? She lost in spite of it being 'Her Turn'. And she won't be running again. Dead fucking issue all around.
