"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Not that I'll ever use this hipster OS, but as proof of concept:

Windows 10 April update took 1.5 hours. I don't think it took that long to install.

There doesn't appear to be anything I give a shit about in this update. It put a M$ Edge icon on my desktop, which I promptly deleted. It also added a bunch of shit to my start menu, also deleted. Now I have to recheck all my privacy settings to make sure Bill isn't trying to get in my bathroom.

Fag.

I hear there is a new "timeline" function (Mac inspired?), which shows "activities you performed".

Will have interesting effects for the unwary…

I play some old games. I have not had a prob with them till now. It seems that some of hem are simply clobbered, won't play and I can't re-install. Pain in the ass.

Word is that the upcoming Tuesday patch may screw up your PC if you use the auto windows update. Best to install manually.

Looks like the manual option is not there.

If you're using the home edition, you don't get that option afaik

Hahaha got to 84%, restart, now it's restoring previous version of Windows.

My next machine is going to be a Mac.

Hear that. When the current laptop PC dies, and Gawd graciously apologizes for my miserable life by giving me a new job, I plan to look at a Mac. Probably won't be able to afford one, but I can dream can't I? :)

Stupid question ... is a mac that is four years old effectively the same as a new one?

I expect they've done some tweaks to the OS in the past 4 years. And the hardware too.

Doc?

And remember, no stupid questions. Only stupid answers.

Wait....
