http://research.nvidia.com/publication/ ... Growing-of

The key idea is to grow both the generator and discriminator progressively, starting from low-resolution images, and add new layers that deal with higher resolution details as the training progresses. This greatly stabilizes the training and allows us to produce images of unprecedented quality, e.g., CelebA images at 1024² resolution

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Excellent! Soon the entertainment industries will ditch all the temperamental meat stars & starlets, everything will be CGI (vaguely remembered) and the tabloids full of the latest escapades of the Sony/Intel/Honda personae.

Politics, if some difference should remain, will go the same way – and Great Britain have a Forever QueenTM. At last.

Sooner rather than later would be my hope: There's no room in this world for two drooling, chinless Man Children in charge.
