Seemed kind of important 30 years ago.
Shit happens. The older you get, the more often shit happens. So you have to try not to give a shit even when you do. Because, if you give too many shits, you've created your own shit creek and there's no way out other than swimming through the shit. Oh, and fuck.

Wasn't aware Pink Floyd was still around for him to leave.

They are the only band that I can really say I am a fan of.

Think they still tour occasionally, not sure.

Last tour was in the 80's. For the album The Division Bell.

Last concert appearance was at the Live 8 benefit show, with Waters, in 2005.

A new album is coming out next month, made from demo tracks in 1987, and new layers added. No waters again. I doubt they will tour.

Last tour was in 1994 (NA, Europe, and UK). "New" album is unreleased and remixed stuff from The Division Bell recording sessions circa 1993. Will be available in standard "redbook" CD form and in 5.1 channel DTS-MA and PCM surround at 24/96 on audio Blu-ray next month.

No more touring. Rick Wright died in 2008, Waters hasn't been a member since 1985, and Gilmour has stated repeatedly and publicly for many years that the PF touring part of his life is behind him. He has no interest in it. Won't happen.

9999th post. Woo hoo. I'm done.

Goodbye.

I thought he left 30 years ago.

This Just In:

1. Peter Gabriel has left Genesis.
2. Led Zepplin needs a new drummer.
3. The less-talented members of The Beatles are still alive. . . .

Seems like a good excuse to bump the thread with Cool Hand's last post.

All 165 Pink Floyd Songs, Ranked From Worst to Best

My own personal favorite is probably the one they ranked #3 and #38 (they should have just given it one rank IMO). I'm also quite fond of the one they ranked #6 (and many others too).

Well, then how about a touring cover band of Pink Floydettes:
