We're going to sway back and forth, descending towards Electric Avenue.
Then we'll elevate it.

I think that's related to raising the roof.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

They didn't just loop it, no, they actually time stretched the thing, and here's the genius part--they then pitch corrected it.

It really has to be heard, even if you don't make it through the whole thing. They even slowed the video down for it.

It was oddly satisfying and traumatic in equal measures. I felt like I was lost in the space of my brain and everything was magnified in impact, every image lingered upon, every emotional moment wallowed in. So like I was a teenager again, which makes this choice of song era particularly relevant.

Heard that Sweet Caroline was really a creepy ode to Caroline Kennedy.

Billie Jean

This song is about a crazed fan who had a baby and was so obsessed with Jackson that she believed it was his. She sent packages and photos of the child to him, eventually sending him a gun and ordering him to commit suicide at the same time as she would kill her baby and then herself, so that they could be "together as a family". The police tracked down the woman, saved the baby and proved that it was not Jackson's. He was so disturbed by the whole affair that he wrote a song about it; one of his biggest hits to date.

This caused me to review the lyrics to the song, so I might as well give it my treatment.

Last Christmas I confessed I've been crushing on you.
We made out for a little while and I was sure we'd immediately become a couple.
But then next day you started seeing that other guy. You slut.
I'm gonna get a girl this Christmas and she'll be better than you!
But I still kind of want to fuck you too.
Do you even remember me? We swapped spit and groped each other for two hours. You slut.
I was stupid to think you could be faithful, even though you didn't promise me anything.
But if you're up for it I'd still bone you, just checking.
I caught you in a vulnerable moment and tried to turn it into a sex thing.
But you're the one that used me.
You fucked me over but I'm going to get a better girl today, in fact I already have, so there.
Next year I'll probably do the same thing.
