"Howard's End," just started "Young Mr. Lincoln"

Stopped watching "Young Mr. Lincoln." Exceeded our glurge capacity.

Started watching "Becoming Jane." Too predictable.

Now watching "House of Cards"...the British Original, mind you...thus correcting a long-neglected deficiency in my education.

Started watching the new season of Better Call Saul. Still good.

The new season of 'The Leftovers' is here and is still just as fucked up.

The director of this first episode has a real eye for cinematic grade TV. The melancholy scoring was used sparingly to greater effect than having it more often as previous seasons.

In fact, S3E1 was so well executed I would put the show now on that top tier of modern TV that shows like Mad Men have raised above previous peaks.

Watched two episodes of "The Expanse". Apparently, for me at least, it's an acquired taste.

A thousand gators is hardly an "infestation".

And Myakka Moe needs to eat something besides just tourists.

Right, ed? :)

In Cloud Atlas they seemed too self-amused at re-using actors. It would have been less pretentious if they had just cast all the roles.

The trailer made it seem like there was supposed to be a common thread being replayed between two people over various lives.

So audience goers were mainly confused by the fact that the movie was not that and that it was more like Monty Python with people just playing tons of roles.

Well, all the stories are supposed to be interconnected somehow, but I'll be damned if I could make heads or tails out of any of it. And the story line wherein the English is mangled so badly as part of the story, hell, I could only get 1 out of 3 words.
