A good production but it should have been edited with vigor, to quote whats his name. One episode of 90 minutes would have sufficed.

I will say that a well done treatment of Oscar Wildes case would be welcome. I need to rewatch the Fry biopic.

Watching season 4 of Bosch. Seems slow somehow.

Bosch ultimately disappointed. Slow to the point of lethargy.

Started Lost in Space last night. Episode 1 was laughable in that they had an episode that included every cliffhanger short of
ScreenShot441.jpg
Actually, come to think of it, they did but no train

They earned another try because of their hamfisted inclusion of a black chick so that they can be inclusive. Chutzpah like that, I like. Though they DIDN'T have the balls to make Mr or Mrs Robinson a brother (or sister as the case may be). Classic Hollywood ... principled money. Hmmm ... I am annoying myself to the point of joining the rejectionist front.

Watched episode 1 of Vegas. Thoroughly contrived tho' it brings back the Tor Johnson looking guy from the Shield. It would be a good thing if Randy made some guest appearances as a street loon whos trademark is yelling at cars and clouds.

Problem is that at this point in my life I have seen a ton of stuff so everything seems sorta familiar and derivative.

I just finished watching the entire first season of Lost in Space.

Think of it as fiction set in space, not "science fiction" because science is right out.

It really is one cliffhanger after another. I don't really think I'd recommend it but I watched it anyway. That chick who played the congresswoman in House of Cards is in it.

It was OK. Not so okay that I am waiting with bated breath for season 2. But okay enough that I will probably watch season 2 once it comes out and am looking for something to watch for a while

Watching Nextflix's "How It Ends" while surfing the web.

If you think you might watch it, stop reading now.

Spoiler:

Jesus, this is a dumb movie.

I especially like how the characters take time out of what looks like the end of the world to mouth their stupid politically correct platitudes.

Thankfully, Armageddon hasn't clogged the roads with refugees or traffic jams or anything and there's only about five other cars between Chicago and Seattle, a.k.a. flyover country, so there's plenty of time for lame dialogue. Unfortunately, the few people they do meet, well, they're mostly baddies since the world flips to a Mad Max dystopia in about half a day. White rednecks, of course, spouting slurs just in case there was any concern about killing them.

Oh, and "The world is falling apart but let's stop to help some stranger change her tire in the middle of a fucking forest fire. Oh, no! It's a trick! More baddies!

After killing them, the Native American woman mechanic (women can fix cars too, you know!), apparently too good for this white man's world, just walks off. It's an Indian thing. I guess the message is women are capable and independent. They just aren't that important to plot lines. They wrote the mother out of the story early, too, sending her off to other relatives and, even after the female lead gets rescued, she never asks about her mother. Oh, well. Out of sight, out of mind. But now that I think about it, most of the politically correct shit came from that Native woman, so I'm glad they dumped her.

Survivalist lesson: When you run out of gas, burn your car.

There's more dumb shit, but the ending was the only part of the film I actually liked. Mostly because I was so sure they were going to pin the end of the world on global warming. Actually, I also liked the over the top attempt at Diversity! by casting a white male lead with a black woman (hot as she was) as his wife.

Just watched the first episode of Marching Orders on Netflix.

I enjoyed it. A bit of a "guilty pleasure". Each episode seems to be less than 15 minutes, so not a huge investment if it's not your cup of tea.

Meanwhile, I am Hate Watching a series so bad it makes True Detective II seem good.

"Why?" you ask?
"Your Mom in it?" - Gram
"Tentacles? I'm asking for a friend. . . ." - Anax
"Nice?" - sparks
"They cast Gronk and Giselle in it?" - shemp
I have a hard time not following even "bad" to the end. I gave up on one series I tease Anax for recommending because we both woke up in "Episode 8" with a "what, this sucks now!" and saw it goes on and on and on.

This is almost over.

Not soon enough.

I want them all to die.

I got The Expanse on Amazon Prime.

Spent the whole weekend binge watching Season 1. It was worth it.

Was starting to think maybe this was an adaption of the Metroid story line, which also began on Ceres and featured an energy craving life form, but alas.

I love how the Mormon are still around an doing their thing.
Such potential!
