It is quite good. Different from the books, but the second book is fantastic. Sort of like the way GoT departs a bit from the books, but the books are not that mindlessly wandering as GoT.

"Be Seeing You!"

The reconditioned Japanese Original The Prisoner.

Now I like LongshanksPatrick McGoohan, but he tends to act as if he is in a silent movie. Perhaps that was his intention.

Saw the first of Jack Ryan. Good production values but the plot was pretty obvious. Definitely worth following.

Would have been better if I didn't have to lip read.

Just sat through "The Core". There's 2 hours I'll never get back.

'Nough said?

Just don't do it. Shame on HBO for showing this retarded piece of shit. And shame on Jenny Garner for collecting a paycheck for it.

I mean, ... Dayum, but that was bad.

Another real stinker on HBO. It's called "The Greatest Showman", ostensibly P. T. Barnum. Jackman plays Barnum.

It's a fucking musical! With dance numbers and shit.

Holy shit.

Watched 1/2 of a movie called "Checkpoint".

There is no acting in it. An amazing feat actually if you think about it. That means that even an extra standing in the background and saying nothing fails.

Amazing but true.

And Then There Were None

Very well done. Excellent.

The Daniel Sloss Netflix specials were excellent. (Stand-up comedian)

It's two different shows he did, each an hour long.

I remember that one!
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Maniac on Netflix

Very weird, but I liked it.
Spoiler:
There was a scene where a guy was talking to a girl about eloping and starting a new life together. In the next instant, he's sitting on a bed in a cramped apartment, surrounded by babies and kids, and the girl is screaming in his ear about something.

Holy shit, that's what it's like!

Bodyguard

No, not that one. This is Brit. About a guy guarding the Home (chick) Secretary (that is evidentially some sort of brit political position that is so trivial they let a chick do it). Affair. etc. 3 in (out of 6). I fell for the hype that I read. Not terrible. Not great. I am sure, beyond doubt that there is one in the works about a guy guarding the home (mo) secretary. Wonder why they didn't swing it that way, so to speak.

As an aside, according to this series, the Brit MI5 and MI6 are worse than useless.

Rake --- Final Season

Well, sad to say, Clever is getting pretty boring. He was elected Senator cuz his last name is Greene and people thought that they were voting Green. Get it?

One funny thing in the first episode ... He (Clever) is talking to some bigwig (Home Secretary?) and asks "are you a Jew?". The guy replies in the affirmative and the talk goes on. The press gets a hold of it and proceed to do a Trump on him. Pretty funny. Not worth an hour of your life though. It occurs in the first 15 min.

Watched a bunch of it with friends, almost finished. It is REALLY good. The art & photography director needs an award--without a word in the plot about it, they've managed to portray both a near-future and a late 80s/early 90s period piece at the same time. Basically a sort of zee-rust, possibly what people from 1982 might think 1990 would look like. There's no Internet, but there's a fully fledged AI in the office that nobody is amazed at. Household technology is more advanced than what we have now, but looks dated.

FWIW, I have a vague impression that's a part of "life". :notsure:
