Iowa Wrestler Forfeits Title...

...for refusing to wrestle a girl.
"...[W]restling is a combat sport and it can get violent at times.

As a matter of conscience and faith, I do not believe that it is appropriate for a boy to engage a girl in this manner. It is unfortunate that I have been placed in a situation not seen in most other high school sports in Iowa."

Mixed thoughts...

I think his objection is unnecessary... but at least instead of trying to force her out of the sport, he's taking it upon himself instead.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"

Yeah, well, one of my nephews wrestled a girl. She lost, she cried, and he felt like shit.

The only problem with the current story is that it's a story at all.
The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Would he feel any better if it were a boy that cried after?

Funny, there was a "controversy" on Boston radio regarding a wrestler who, apparently, would ram a thumb up the rectum of an opponent. "Controversy" as in, "this is bizarre shit to discuss." Whether or not the move is legal, ethical, what it says about the NFL collective bargaining agreement.

This particular subject has come up, and I expect "the Move" to come up as well--once the "how will he handle getting a boner" discussions passed. It is a week behind because the "winningestestest coach" in HS wrestling just got arrested with a crapload of kiddie-porn. So we will have to wait for the full analysis of the implications of this devastating trend.

I, of course, blame Obama and Brett Favereer. . .
