Newspaper celebrates MLB's first amphibious pitcher

The headline is funny but an interesting story nonetheless. There's always been lots of switch hitters in baseball but I never saw a switch pitcher until now. He has a special baseball glove that can be worn on either hand.

But what happens when a switch pitcher faces a switch hitter?

A clusterfuck. I think they've since gotten the rules ironed out so they won't have these sorts of delays of game anymore. It was a humorous situation though.

"Humorous" to some, tedious horror for any rational person. No offence, naturally.

Oh, I know. It was only even slightly funny the first time. If it happened a second time I'm sure the fans would stop laughing and start booing. A third time would be occasion to start throwing garbage at the field of play. That's why they made a new rule specifically for this guy.

Actually, this came up a few years ago where both the batter and pitcher kept switching. There has been a rule made since which came to play: basically the batter wins.
