I'm lily-white too, and I'll tell you, it's not that easy to get over.

It's not just the rage, it's the reflexes, the sense of "shouldn't be here", etc, that sticks around when it's taught at an early age.

It is just NOT easy to get over.

Sorry, but I've been around professional motorsports for a better part of my life. I call them all by their first name, and expect the same out of them, whether they are the last guy on the timing sheet or a 3 time world champ. Celebrity doesn't impress me, unless it's an NBL.

I love that his getting the axe in Minnesota might be related to his making fun of a post practice meal.

As much as I do not like Ron "Belichick is the WORSTEST Couch!" Borges, I did laugh when he stated:
I thought Al Davis would take him, but he must have woken up and yelled, "Wait . . . wasn't he here? I remember purple."

I'll believe it about week five into the season.

I'd have liked to see the Steelers pick him up for the minimum. Just have him run deep fly patterns on third down and have him return kicks. Other than that sit on the bench and read Tolstoy or whatever he does in his spare time.

I think I forgot this pro-Randy Moss story from my note about Moss and Patriots owner Robert Kraft a couple of weeks ago. Moss has been a consistent supporter of former Patriot teammate Heath Evans' charity work, and he was at a golf tournament in Florida for the charity when he came upon a pregnant woman working a beverage cart on the course.

According to Evans, Moss said to the woman she looked too far along to be working a golf tournament; the woman said she was on the verge of giving birth, but she needed the money, so she had to work. Moss reached into his pocket, according to Evans, pulled out a wad of cash, handed her the entire amount and told her, "Go home. Please.'' And she did.

In Japanese cartoons.
"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight! Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then, he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth, and then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! (Beat) Unless it's a farm!"
