It's a strange feeling to have next year a reality. Good game with a great outcome for cub fans. Not so great for Cleveland.

In response to Bill "The Sports Douche" Simons claiming that the rain delay meant "God got involved!":

Well, God finally did, and I give him credit for this, uh, or her credit for this--he may be transgendering--I don't want to get in his way if he's doing that--uh, and credit to him if he does. Uh there are people there are little children in Africa drinking from water which is loaded with fecal matter. He wisely diverted his attention away from that, made his way to Cleveland, and said, "Let it rain!" last night during a baseball game!

Who're the "Cubs" now? It's strange not to have a novelty team with trivia losing streak.

We still have the Cleveland Indians.

Both had long, long, long histories of not only failure but sucking. They were also old and "classic" and, until yesterday evening, had failed to win the WS. There are obvious comparisons to the Red Sox with "curses" and all of that.

This is why I stated that whatever happened a city would suffer. If it was Toronto or even Boston, both cities have won at least in most people's lifetimes! The only worse match up for psychological pain would have been a Cubs-Red Sox 2003 WS.

I remember Butt-Sore MFY Fans trying to declare that the Red Sox fans "would lose their identity!" by winning in 2004.

Losing is never "good."

Unless you are French.

We couldn't muster enough midges.

I just hope their fans don't turn into shit heads like Red Sox fans did after they finally won something. The Red Sox were lovable losers, then they won, then their fans thought acting like asshole Yankee fans was the proper way to behave.

Not a lot of English-speaking Catholics I take it? And they even have a mass in "Spanglish"? (The other one is the Lithuanian language according to Google).
