The duct tape is all over the hookers who're bricked up in the cellar.

They start to smell too soon in the attic.

Meanwhile, back in T3h Attic of Doom™, work progresses. I'm now out of timber and getting any more at the moment would require jumping through hoops, so I'll just paint what I've done.

And, if anyone was wondering if the mirrored insulation I've used is effective, I can confirm that it is. Very. It's toast up there.

Something occurred to me. You need to provide some ventilation in there or dehumidification.

Rust, my boy, rust.

There's ventilation up there, ed. Not a great deal but sufficient. Behind the silver stuff is a shed-load of breeze.

Think I'm stupid? I worked in the construction industry for years.

And I'm as hard as fuck. :)

I was ginger in the days of my youth, hence my being hard as fuck. Having ginger hair is a great way to learn how to kick the shit out of bullies.

Kick the shit outa them bullies bro. Years, years after I got out of ...well... a place, boyos that targeted me little testicules were found floating face down in an absurdly named river.

(disclaimer: The above is a revenge fantasy I have been nursing for 50ish years. Actually so far as far as I know I've outlived most them.

It helped that I grew to 6'2". Kicked the shit out of the worst offender and the rest left me alone after 13 years of being picked on relentlessly. It's not as though being ginger is a conscious choice is it? But some seem to take it as a personal affront.

Those were the days. Many long distance trains still allow drinking and have buffet cars but if you fancy a tipple on London Transport, or on the way to a football game, you're bang out of luck.

That’s changed “fairly” recently. I remember having drinks while traveling around London in the days before moving stateside (so early 2000s)

Drinking in public's become very much frowned upon in recent years, Giz. Street drinking's banned altogether around here.

Now the builders' yard is finally open again, T3h Attic of Doom™ is all but complete: the fresh timber needs treating and then the lot's getting a final coat of paint.

It has been a massive, filthy pain in the arse to do.

And now, perhaps, we are to begin...

That’s a shame. (From my selfish nostalgia perspective). Still, I imagine it may have made croydon a little less terrible for those who live there.
