Navy to retire 6-year old ship.

Post by Anaxagoras »

Actually four very new littoral combat ships are to be decommissioned. The newest being only 6 years old and the oldest only 12 years old.

Could I buy it?

Now that would be cool.

Like you need their cannons. Don't you have your own?

Eventually I'm sure most of them will be sold for scrap. I think first they go into some sort of mothballs until they decide that they for sure don't want to keep them.

Where's LukeT when you need him? He probably nicked a few on his way out of the Navy :)

I want literal combat ships!

Figurative ones aren't nearly as effective.
