It's like the cleaner wrasse. A small fish that makes a living by cleaning parasites off of larger fish. In exchange, the larger fish don't try to eat the cleaner wrasse. They can even go right into its mouth to clean out the bits of food that get stuck between the teeth.

Wow. I know that tortoises famously live for a long time, but I didn't know about koi fish.
Whales can live a long time too. There's some much older than the oldest human.
