I knew, since I knew the movie, that that actress, as well as her husband in the film, had long careers in Chopsocki.
Yes, you can recognize her.
Though imagine if she had a cigarette dangling from her mouth.

Heh, I recognised her in a few Shaw Brothers' flicks.
The other girl, Joie Vejjajiva is Thai and had a short career in a couple of crappy horror movies. She trained in Muay Thai and her Sensei is in that scene too. Yes, he's the guy whose head she drops a watermelon on . Shes a bit of a cult heroine in Thailand and "Master Toddy" trained over 40 World champions.

To which we could also add "Hunter Biden."
Nevertheless, I will welcome comment on this. Technically he resigned and was not fired.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
That is the question.
The idea was to reward someone who picked a team SO BAD that the coach gets fired before even the mid season.
Resign "for health reasons" would not count.
Now did he resign, or did Bowl Cut determine to fire them. According to one report, the two met, then after the meeting, Gruden immediately resigned.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
I think a reasonable compromise would be 5 ITR points instead of 10, if they "resign" due to a scandal. I.e., half of what it would otherwise be if a coach is fired because the team is underperforming.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
I don't object (especially since it benefits me to some extent) though there is something to be said for keeping outcomes unambiguous. What is the history of this award--have past ones been explicit firings?
A case could be made that by Da Rules, this is not an official firing and receives no bonus points, and any half-awards for scandals leading to separation would need to be a rule change proposed for next year's game. I don't insist on being that much of a stickler, but I think that reasoning deserves to be brought up.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
That is the consensus I am getting.
I had a long discussion with someone who plays. I admitted that I did not know much about it since I was away from current events. The few reports I saw and heard did not specify what, exactly, he wrote. I only saw it last night when I searched for the Brady's Gay Times to drink the sweet, sweet, salty tears of their fans, and saw his resignation announced.
Reading up on it, it is what it is.
Now there is a coach who is a disaster. Even thought of picking the team just for the ItR Bonus, but why would I want to give his team a win?
Pause for Laughter
There has been this rumor he will jump to a college team – Stanford methinks.
I would not count that as a firing. Resignation is not firing, and I do not think it counts in this case. If not for being what Gram described him, Gruden would be planning the next Faider disaster coming this Sunday.
I intended ItR to be a bit of a reward for picking a BAD team. So as not to overwhelm players who play this game well [Unlike him. – Ed.] Shhh! the bonus is small.
Unless you get a team that so spectacularly implodes the team cannot even wait for Brack Fliday [Monday – Ed.] to curb stomp him.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
That's fine with me.
So, it's decided then. Resignations, even under duress or scandal, do not count as firings. No ITR points for a resignation.
Agreed?
Curious though. Could he have not resigned, I wonder? Could he have gotten away with just an apology and continued to coach the Raiders? Or was he given a choice between resigning and getting fired?

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
Since this all came out of the NFL investigation of the DeadSkins Washington Embarrassment, there suspicion is that the NFL has been releasing these to basically force him out. This has led to quite a few complaining that the NFL is not releasing its finding on the team, but it misdirecting by releasing these on Gruden.
. . . who called Ginger Hammer a "fag" and a "pussy."
Either way, I suspect that he was being forced out, hence my request for other opinions.
The funny thing is Bowl Cut's father, BRAINS Davis fired Lane Kiffin "for cause," as well as previous coaches, to try to avoid paying their contracts. He failed with most, but it took years of litigation.
Perhaps Gruden realized that if he did not resign, his firing would be seen as "for cause" or the NFL would just suspend him without pay/fine him. The coaches have no union. Perhaps . . . he felt that this was the best way to leave and save some dignity.
Which is why I am leaving this "open." This is suppose to be fun. I was about to joke that we have to wait for the current scores since my TI calculator broke and I cannot handle the math required to add up my scores, prior to this happening.
IF it is revealed something like:
Wibble.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
For what it is worth, the Ian Crapaport of the "Crap Sheet," claims that Bowl Cut did not force him to resign nor threaten to fire him. There probably was a separation agreement. Had Bowl Cut fired him, he would owe him the remaining years on his contract at $10 million a year.

For $10 million/year I think I would issue an apology and soldier on. Unless he thinks there's a similar opportunity to be had elsewhere. Or the separation agreement said that he would be paid regardless.

Re: Sorry to Make You Cry XVII
The feeling, right or wrong, is that his racist stereotype of the NFLPA representative will destroy his credibility with black players, of which, something made-up like 70 percenty of the NFL is.
However, he committed the unpardonable sin: he called the Ginger Liar a "pussy" and a "faggot."
That Patriots will be lucky to only lose a first-round draft pick for that. . . .
