Re: In Soviet Russia
When the soviets set off the Tsar Bomba, dropped from a plane, any chance of a nuclear war was over

Re: In Soviet Russia
At some point all the nuclear powers realized you can’t even risk a very limited nuclear strike. Or even a conventional war, against any nation with reactors.
Even just losing control of one multiple reactor site, not to mention bombing it, would poison the world.
The short sighted might argue it wouldn’t be that bad. But they don’t consider if one goes, they are all going to go tits up.

It’s been over ten years now, and nobody, not a single person online has ever, not even one, has understood the doomsday machine we already have.
No wait, one person did, and I am married to her.
But she doesn’t want to talk about it. It’s literally too horrible to think about.

On the 60 minutes interview, while Fukushima was in a critical phase, when asked about the worst case scenario, the top US official being interviewed literally replied, “Oh I don’t want to even think about that”, and there was no follow up question.

It was in regards to the possibility the storage pool in reactor III was dry and on fire.
(It wasn’t, turned out the radiation was coming from spent fuel that was ejected in the explosion)
