Any country with working reactors

And

Spent fuel sitting next to them

Especially 20 or 30 years worth of fuel

Already has a doomsday device

Nobody dares to bomb that country, not even a little

You can’t destroy the power grid

You really don’t want to bomb a dam

You can’t even risk fucking up anything

To invade you would have to not only take over all the reactor sites first, you would then have to make sure nobody in the country does anything to retaliate against your attack

Because that might fuck up the system as well

And if you bring down the system so that the reactors aren’t safe, just one disaster at a nuclear site means a cascade of horror is unleashed

The system has to be working to be able to quickly respond before things go out of control

All of it has to be working

Roads, power grids, skilled workers, communications, Air Force, water supply, medical, measurements and logistics

Nuclear power plants are doomsday devices

Old fashion wars stopped when nuclear power arrived, for any country with nuclear reactors

And for good reasons

It's ironic that while Dr. Strangelove was being filmed, the leaders of the world were secretly discussing the reality of things, because they all were starting to understand that the fallout from testing was giving their kids cancer. Not just the other kids, their own children.

The tooth fairy project left no doubt about it. The vast majority of people alive have no idea what that means.
