Re: The UK thread
And yet senior Labour party numbers complain about "Conservative Cronyism" in the higher echelons of the BBC.
But yeah, there was a time that the corridors of the BBC looked and sounded like the Socialist Society of any given University from the early 70s getting pissed in the Students Union bar. Much better now than they used to be though.
But third worst? Eh.

Re: The UK thread
The Tories were always "the Party of Your Parents" – even if said parents were tripping acid in the 60s to 70s. "Now is time to get mine!"
Parents are never popular.
Old Labour was the "Party of Your Idiot Uncle." After . . . heh . . . heh . . . HA!HA!HA! . . . Neil Kinnock modernized . . . heh . . . no . . . seriously! . . . it was the "Party of Your Creepy Uncle" with the toupee no one is suppose to notice.
He likes plaid.
He spends a lot of times at the club, alone.
Then, finally, came "New Labour" which was the "Party of Your Older Siblings Coming Off Acid." They learned in university that Jews are bad and maybe we should help the poor people we step over on the way to our cars. They became Irresponsible Parents.
Tories?
After Mom left, it became the "Party of Your Raving Imperial Uncle" – the one who "is not racist" but really thinks England would "be better without all of these wogs and niggers about" – until it became the Party of Your Nerd Sibling That No One, Including Your Creepy Uncle, Would have Sex With."
Hoping to have sex, it allied with the your cousins – from Your Raving Imperial Uncle – but figured if they just poured gasoline over the area but did not actually touch the match to it nothing bad would happen.
In desperation, it became the Party of Your Aunt Who Never Married but wears Leather Pants.
Meanwhile, since Labour lost to those, it went full "Mad Uncle" and has yet to recover. It chose its version of Nerd Who Does Not have Sex who likes to surround himself with women who, also, do not have sex, with neither of them understanding why they are not popular.
Tories?
They dumped Aunt for Brother Who Drinks, Plays Rugby, and Can Fart the Alphabet.
We Americans would find this funny if we did not elect a demented sex offender since the alternative was someone who makes Your Brother seem "sophisticated, if not, sometimes, rational," while giving sanctuary to your Most Useless Yet Entitled Royal.
In the rain.

I will note that for someone who strived to become Prime Minister for over a decade, Boris threw it away for a singularly stupid reason.

What, getting caught for doing what everyone else was doing?
Just kidding. I want to see Rees-Mogg as PM. It'll be funnier than Trump but with a man who is educated and cultured. Just imagine it.

I find your Muslim Faith... disturbing.
No really.
https://news.sky.com/story/amp/baroness ... r-12524641
Ok. Let's checkout the oppression.
Weaden Electorate
Ethnic Group (C 2011)
White 145,173
Asian 1,719
Black 343
Arab 79
Mixed/multiple 1,428
Other ethnic group 173
Fucking bigoted electorate. Keeping the minorities down. The Islamophobia is obvio. 22 000 majority. 60% of the votes. Hatred!!!
Look at the jobs she was held back from:
In July 2015, she was appointed as a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee and served until 2017.
In 2016, Ghani worked with Barnardo's, the UK's oldest children's charity, to undertake an independent inquiry into harmful child sexual behaviour.
In July 2017, Ghani was promoted to Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Home Office. Ghani was involved in producing reports on home affairs, security, hate crime, policing and immigration.
In 2017, Ghani chaired the Government's Apprenticeship Diversity Champions Network.
In January 2018, Ghani was appointed an Assistant Whip and a Minister within the Department for Transport. Ghani was the first Muslim woman minister to speak from the House of Commons despatch box.
Full Government Whip from July 2019 - Dec 2019 . Smell the oppression!!! Fastest ever woman! Worse than Jim crow!!!
During the 2020 British cabinet reshuffle, Ghani was dismissed from government and replaced by Kelly Tolhurst in the Department for Transport.
Well there you have it. There's your evidence of teh wassist religious bigotry. Watch her spew her rage at this evil wall-to-wall fascism and hatred of islam:

Yes. It must have been Islamophobia and not the FACT that she had misled parliamentary commissions on 5 seperate occasions.
She remains joint chair of the 1922 committee despite the jackboot on her throat.
Eh.

The knives are out for Boris: Labour hates Jews, Tories hate Muslims.

Any Muslims in the Shadow cabinet?he knives are out for Boris: Labour hates Jews, Tories hate Muslims.

I read an article in the >cough< Grauniad a while back where a POC professor at some university said a tory cabinet staffed with a demographically disproportionate (I.e. More) non whites "wearing Tory masks" represented the opposite of racial progress.
https://i.ibb.co/BPK21FC/giphy-3.gif
At that point the Shadow cabinet was all white.
A party that promotes non whites to some of the most powerful positions in the country is the opposite of racial progress...while a party that excludes non whites and women and is openly antisemitic and excludes people that point this out...isn't.
I do not understand this language.

Re: The UK thread
She claims that if she did it would ruin her career. Perhaps. Then what is this? Oh, it hurts Boris. Hence:
Not that I am aware of. No Jews either.Any Muslims in the Shadow cabinet?
Yeah . . . "Uncle Toms." The black woman who supported Georgia's voter laws was a white supremacist too. Stupid racial identity games.I read an article in the >cough< Grauniad a while back where a POC professor at some university said a tory cabinet staffed with a demographically disproportionate (I.e. More) non whites "wearing Tory masks" represented the opposite of racial progress.
So no Jews then.At that point the Shadow cabinet was all white.
And their leader likes to boast about his career as the leader of the Crown Prosecution Service which botched Jerry Sackville. Even Camel Toe has learned to keep her mouth shut about her history as a prosecutor in California.A party that promotes non whites to some of the most powerful positions in the country is the opposite of racial progress...while a party that excludes non whites and women and is openly antisemitic and excludes people that point this out...isn't.
"All's fair." So Brickface can scream and wallow about Boris having a drink in Number 10 when he has a drink . . . oh wait! It was business . . . a party matter, because vira can tell the difference?I do not understand this language.
Do not get me started on the unctuous toad that is the SNP leader.

Re: The UK thread
British police making Orwellianism proud:
“Ms Murray’s crimethink was to feel uncomfortable with comments made by Mridul Wadhwa, the trans woman who is CEO of the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre (ERCC). Last year, Wadhwa said some women who experience sexual abuse and rape are ‘bigoted people’ and they should expect to be ‘challenged’ on their bigotries if they turn up at the crisis centre looking for help. Sexual violence is ‘not [a] discerning crime’, said Wadhwa. It ‘happens to bigoted people as well’. And ‘if you bring unacceptable beliefs that are discriminatory in nature [to the crisis centre], we will begin to work with you on your journey of recovery from trauma… but please also expect to be challenged on your prejudices’. In short – if you’re a woman who doesn’t believe that someone born male can become a woman, and who doesn’t want to see blokes of any sort in a rape-crisis centre, then you’re a ‘bigot’ and your trauma therapy will come with a side order of woke lecturing.
Not surprisingly, many campaigners against sexual violence were horrifed by Wadhwa’s comments. In my view, the very idea of a rape-crisis centre being run by a biological male is pretty disturbing. But the fact that that biological male is also happy to brand some rape victims as ‘bigots’ who essentially need re-education is just despicable. Women turn up at rape-crisis centres for urgent assistance following a terrible exprience, not to be interrogated on how au fait they are with the latest beliefs and decrees of the cranky cult of genderfluidity.
Ms Murray runs Brodie’s Trust, a charity that provides help to women who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy through domestic violence or a forced termination. In September, in the wake of Wadhwa’s comments, she said Brodie’s Trust ‘cannot in all conscience send vulnerable women to [the ERCC]’. She made the perfectly reasonable point that it is not for sexual-violence charities to police vulnerable women’s thoughts. ‘We have no interest in our clients’ religion, sexuality [or] political views’, she said. And so she said she would no longer ‘signpost’ vulnerable women to a centre whose CEO was openly threatening to police and correct vulnerable women’s beliefs.
The police didn’t see it as reasonable, though. In November, detectives from Edinburgh knocked on Ms Murray’s door. They had in their possession screenshots of her tweets and a printout of the statement made by Brodie’s Trust. Get your head around that – actual police officers printed out a statement made by a charity and went around to the charity founder’s home to talk to her about it. This is banana republic stuff. The officers confirmed to Ms Murray that she hadn’t said anything ‘hateful’ – ‘there isn’t a crime here’. So why were they in her home waving around printouts of her comments, she asked? ‘Because we need to speak to you to ascertain what your thinking was behind your statement’, they said“

Tl:dnr so juicy bit.
5 Mar 2021 women's aid groups in North Lanarkshire had all their local authority funding removed because they would not admit men to refuges or work with perpetrators of abuse. The £1.4 contract for domestic violence services now sits with SACRO instead. What a travesty
Guess who was a director of SACRO at the time?
Go on guess.
Ok..Arun Gopinath. This cunt's partner. Follow the money kids.
Distressingly, these refuges are also "safe spaces" for children of victims too.
Seeing as he is still legally a man. I would happily remove his face with an assortment of power tools preferably during a power cut.

Yes. This is what peaked my interest in the cunt.
A man (yes, a man) said >legal< immigrant women, should have to shave his balls upon request. If not they should be deported because bigotry.
Yes. Coming over here, not stealin' our pubes. And this shithead fired off a lawsuit. When the immigrants launched fundraising, cuntytits got involved, basically saying that refusing to shave testicle is transphobic
A man, working in a rape crisis centre says women should have to shave a man's balls upon request. Get your head around that.
These people aren't even woke. They are sociopathic perverts hiding behind a flag of convenience.

Re: The UK thread
From the spectator (another free speech case):
“ Captain Tom Moore captured the nation’s hearts during the pandemic. The World War II officer completed 100 lengths of his garden at the age of 99 to raise money for NHS-related charities, attracting more than £30 million in donations and being knighted by the Queen. When he died last February, aged 100, the fond tributes and outpouring of sadness were universal. Well, almost.
Glaswegian Joseph Kelly marked Captain Tom’s passing by tweeting a photograph of the veteran and the words:
‘The only good brit soldier is a deed one, burn auld fella, buuuuurn’.
Criminal patter should not land you a criminal record
Undoubtedly these words were offensive: to British soldiers, the memory of Captain Tom, and the English language. Kelly, who tweeted under the name 'Saor Alba' (Gaelic for ‘Free Scotland’), was being an idiot and deserved to be told so. That should have been the end of the matter. If only.
Kelly, aged 36, has been convicted of sending a ‘grossly offensive’ tweet. He will be sentenced next month. Did those who reported Kelly’s tweet to the police do so because they were unable to reach his mum and ask her to give him a telling off? Kelly was prosecuted under Section 127 of the Communications Act (2003), which says a person breaks the law if he ‘sends by means of a public electronic communications network a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character’.
Among those convicted under Section 127 are Kate Scottow, a feminist prosecuted after she ‘misgendered’ a transwoman; Jordan Barrack, a 20-year-old fined for drawing penises on a photograph of a policeman; and Paul Chambers, who was done for joking on Twitter about blowing up an airport after his flight was cancelled. It is also the provision under which Mark Meechan, known as Count Dankula, was convicted over a YouTube video in which he ‘trained’ his girlfriend’s pug to do a Nazi salute. Scottow’s and Chambers’ convictions were eventually overturned.
Whatever you think of what Joseph Kelly said, it remains important to defend his rights to free speech. Criminal patter should not land you a criminal record. Before anyone suggests Kelly’s freedom of expression wasn’t infringed, allow me to quote Adrian Cottam, the sheriff who convicted him:
‘The prosecution does interfere with freedom of expression but it is a necessary interference.’”

Re: The UK thread
Vice President of Barclays Corporate Cash Management Solutions talks about how she's really going to have to tighten the Purse Strings as energy rates rise.
I mean. Two things piss me off about this. One, this bleating turd is on a six figure (sterling) salary and is bemoaning rising energy bills and how the poor mare us struggling (of course) to run a family where both parents have full time jobs.
Six figure salary. Right.
Two, days after the energy companies announce a 54% ($1000 avg. to you and me) increase in annual energy prices and Shell announce a fourteen-fold increase In profits - the BBC thinks this is an appropriate "person/case study" to have someone complain that they are struggling.

Re: The UK thread
Only today, I was attempting to explain to someone that when the price of a commodity like natural gas rises, the extra money we pay is just transferred to other people: most likely people much richer than us.
He couldn't seem to grasp the idea: he seemed to think the money we pay is somehow actually exchanged for the gas. Like when we pump the gas out of the ground, we have to pump banknotes or gold blocks or similar down the holes to fill up the space.

A Watford mum has launched a petition demanding social media laws are bolstered to protect children’s mental health.
Suzanne Samaka, 33, wants it to be mandatory to include hashtags where posts have been edited or filtered so that youngsters are not tricked into having unrealistic expectations.
The Barclays employee said she set up the petition, which has already gained over 600 backers, after spotting too many examples of young people suffering with low self-esteem and nothing being done about it.
I mean, only a complete hypocrite would complain about unrealistic image standards on social media before posting a filtered photo of themselves heavily caked in make-up one minute after making sure her hair was perfect Mr DeMille.

Speaking of which Lizzykins says she accepts Camilla.
If only she had done that, like, 50 years ago.

Re: The UK thread
I do not think this is equivalent as Camilla cannot possibly give children low esteem about their image, as she is the only person on the planet where lipstick fights to get back in the tube when she tries to apply it.
