Funny that Dave Grohl could not drum for that band.

Re: The TUMBREL of MISSED OPPORTUNITY
Dave Grohl thought it would be "practically impossible" to be the lead singer of a band while playing the drums.
Totally not mentioning Phil Collins at this point.
No.

Or:
Or:
Though to be fair, unlike Grohl, those are good drummers [Stop that! – Ed.] okay . . . okay . . . maybe a bit like listening to Steve Smith playing with Journey, in which he did not suck of course, then hearing his other work. Or Vinnie Coliauta playing for Madonna.
Or this girl's ex:
So, maybe, if Courtney Love's victim could write music. . . .
– J.D.
P.S. Yes, the I pulled the espresso extra-biter. Why do you ask?
P.P.S. Phil Collins joked that he never expected to be the lead singer. He liked drumming and was happy to leave it to someone else to "wiggle his bum." He did sing backing on some classic Genesis "What the fuck do these lyrics mean again, Peter? This "Music Box" comes off a bit pedo, no? Maybe better for The Who?" pieces and one or two specific songs, but once he was made lead he brought along Chester Thompson so he could, in his words, "wiggle his bum."
I wonder how singers can sing and play an instrument. Not a lot of the really talented ones do since you may be singing in one rhythm but playing something else underneath. Particularly with drumming, you do not want to lose your breath. Hence why Phil stopped playing this part where he sings when he became the front man, jumping back and forth from the drums:
Cannot help think, "Listen to the Flower People" whenever I see that footage.
Bill Buford backing in that case.
Heh . . . Phil with hair and a beard.
P.P.P.S. In other words, Dave Grohl can't smell my shit!

What do you call a person who hangs out with the band all the time, but who isn't a musician?

My favorites were always:
What are the last words of a drummer before he gets fired?
How many drummers does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Re: The TUMBREL of MISSED OPPORTUNITY
I have always liked the light bulb joke.
How many Klingons does it take to change a light panel?
Two. One to change it, and one to kill him and claim the panel for the glory of the empire!
How many Freudians does it take to change a light bulb?
Two. One to change it, and the other to hold the peni- LADDER. Hold the ladder.

How many women does it take to change a lightbulb?
None. Let the useless whores cook in the dark.

How many porn lesbians does it take to change a light bulb?
Fuck that, I've already done it.

Shoulda stayed off the phone.Russo was sentenced to federal prison in 2010 for his involvement with the infamous corruption scandal that changed the way county government is structured.
Federal prosecutors said his friend, former county commissioner Jimmy Dimora, accepted more than $1 million in bribes, gifts and trips in exchange for getting jobs and contracts for associates.

Re: The TUMBREL of MISSED OPPORTUNITY
Ah, well...
Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Indiana Miranda said Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene.
"He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic," Miranda said in an emailed statement.
Miranda didn't say why Haskins was on the highway at the time. The accident caused the highway to be shut down for several hours, and Miranda said it's ``an open traffic homicide investigation.''

"early Saturday morning"
Like 3 am, or 6 am. Because that would make a large difference in what I think happened.
24, though. Hard for his family; I do not want to outlive my kids like that.

"Nothing good happens after midnight/2:00 A.M."
That is attributed to many, with the latter from How I Met YOUR MOM[ther – Ed.]. I heard if from a lecture from "Hello? You Play to Win the Game" to new draftees. It appears the earliest is from the Late-Coach Bo Schembechler.

Re: The TUMBREL of MISSED OPPORTUNITY
Actually wish I could say that I was surprised.
He came on a weird podcast about year ago, since he heard the podcaster was a fan. Hilarious, gracious, unscripted, but even he admitted his health was not what it was.
Was still working.
I remember him describing "Jewish Guilt" as you are guilty of anything and everything. As an example, to paraphrase:
