Incidentally, finished Killing Eve. Man, watta disappointment. First two seasons were great, last two sucked. really sucked.
Just picked up on Succession. Excellent work. Worth a binge.

I never did pirating before. Guilty conscious and personal moral code, but after getting repeatedly fucked over by banks, insurance, employer, and pretty much everything I pay for that calls itself a "service", I'm not far from slapping on a eyepatch and saying arrrr.

Arrrr ....
I recall some self serving son of a bitch apologist bastard in the employ of the film studios explaining how pirating takes money out of the mouths of the crew because of "residuals". Jonny Depp gets residuals, 4th unit script girl gets nothing.

BitTorrent usage has bounced back because there's too many streaming services, and too much exclusive content.

I see that. Used to be fairly easy but now they have sliced and diced everything to that the convenience factor is outweighed by everything being monetized.

If you have the means (and you do) it's still easier to do it legally.

Succession. Very well acted and reasonably intelligent scripts.

You can generally tell woke bullshit in the first 10 minutes or so.It examines the corruption and moral collapse that befell an American city in which the policies of drug prohibition and mass arrest were championed at the expense of actual police work.

Re: What have you been watching lately
I’ve not been watching but saw this headline :
“ Inclusion Of January 6th Footage In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: “Part Of Star Trek Is Staying Relevant Without Preaching”
“ the premiere of Alex Kurtzman’s new Star Trek: Strange New Worlds features protagonist Captain Pike declaring that the Capitol Hill riots of January 6th, 2021, were the first steps in humanity’s march to nuclear war.”

Re: What have you been watching lately
Funny thing, is they all, including the Japanese Original Star Trek, try to add messages. It just appears that the messages are insincere virtue signalling.
Thinking about that, there were always bad and forced messaging. Star Trek famously had to fight to have female characters, let alone characters who were not "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant." I sometimes wonder if "the Suits" knew that the two principle actors were Jewish! Perhaps with the progress made over the decades, these forced attempts just seem so much more obvious in comparison.

The Offer.
As recommended by former caporegime, now Sometimes Irritating Christian, Michael Franzese on the making of The Godfather.
Very well cast.
They nail Robin Evans. At first I was not sure, but after a few scenes I thought I was listening to The Kid Stays in the Picture.
They also cast Fat Men to play Puzzo and Coppola.

It's not fat shaming if they're ashamed of themselves.
And that's the bottom line, because Hotarubi says so.

Did they shoot Val from the neck up?
Because he has not exactly defeated the Fat.
Not everyone can be Winona . . . or Helen . . . or, well, Tom.

Wow. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.
The picture of her is weird because someone is standing behind her and it sort of makes her look even fatter.
OK, according to Wikipedia, she's also 5 years older than Cruise. She's 64 and she looks her age. He doesn't look his age, he looks 15 or 20 years younger than he really is.
