It is interesting to consider that the LugerP08 has been in continuous production, with a few interruptions, since 1908. It is also interesting, for some, to consider that the parts of a modern one will interchange with one made 100 years ago.
In any event, the Mitchell Arms co. made the Luger in the 1970's out of stainless steel. It was a pretty limited run, I think. I picked one up for symmetry.

It's so much more stylish than the Borchardt C-93 and the Mannlicher M1901, I also like the
Walther P38 style. Would it be crass to ask how much?

Don't quote me, but I'd guess between $1,200 and $1,800, according to condition, etc.
I am not that knowledgeable, but I do visit auction sites in order to replace items that were lost in tragic boating accidents throughout the state.
