A new, hopefully untrodden, academic niche! :)

But hey, it's a real problem:
Campus Reform wrote:PhD: Small desks cause 'hostile' environment for fat students

Heather Brown interviewed 13 fat women in college, finding that “classroom design and furniture,” especially “too-small desks,” not only make fat women feel “unwanted,” but also perpetuate “thin privilege and fat hatred.”

Brown argues that colleges “must make attempts to alleviate the damage a hostile physical environment causes to fat women learners,” suggesting renovating classrooms with “differently sized chairs and tables.”

Yet solutions were underway since 2012 at least:

I like that!

From the Oregon State University catalog:
PSY 466. FAT STUDIES (4). Is Baccalaureate Core Course
Examines body weight, shape, and size as an area of human difference subject to privilege and discrimination that intersects with other systems of oppression based on gender, race, class, age, sexual orientation, and ability. Employs a multi-disciplinary approach spanning the behavioral sciences and humanities. Frames weight-based oppression as a social justice issue, exploring forms of activism used to counter weightism perpetuated throughout various societal institutions.

What dreary newspeak. Only replacing everybody with identical clones can solve these "problems".

Which reminds me of a thriller by Boris Vian (under the nom de plume Vernon Sullivan), Et on tuera tous les affreux (literally "All uglies will be killed", English title "To Hell with the Ugly") from 1948 (!): evil scientist abducts handsome people to create a super-humanity. A somewhat erotic comic book was based on it.
