Actually, I would have picked NE to lose. Too many injuries on offense and perfect weather for I Won as a Team. The receivers for the Pats are just not that good--as evidenc'd today. The loss of Gronk to injury and Hernandez to . . . http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264 ... 5ee64d.gifPersonal Issueshttp://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264 ... f16ffc.gif could not be compensated.

Cannot complain, no one picked them to go far in the Playoffs--including the Pats writers. It might have been a different game in Foxborough but, to be frank, I do not see them beating either the 49rs or Seamenhawks unless it snows all through the game which causes both teams to shit their pants. Seriously, after the Red Sox comeback including comebacks in the playoffs--I met a Detroit fan who still has nightmares about pitching to Big Papi--fanboys cannot complain.

Go Sea9ers!!111!

I chose SF to lose at Carolina last week. I chose poorly.

So this week, once I realized that I already owned Denver and I really did not want to root against St Bill et al, I looked at the NFC game. Seattle is so tough at home. So I chose SF again.

In my head only, it would appear. I can find no posting stating that pick, though I do offer these weak evidences:

swellman wrote:SD is red next to my name in the latest score update.

Retract that immediately! :HoppingMad:

As to predictions for Sunday - who the hell knows?! :dunno:

Go Hawks!
This clearly PROVES that I wanted Seattle to win. It also proves that I'm getting forgetful and did not post my unambiguous pick and therefore cannot receive points for my brilliant but unstated SF pick.

My only defense is that I misremembered posting SF (obviously from the previous week).

Thus endeth my self-serving post showing my picking prowess and a gentlemanly respect for the rules of our contest. Complete with facts and shit.

Not that it matters as I'm almost certainly mathematically eliminated but for the record I should have NO rather than SD.

Also: Some people get 24 for SF, but others like me only get 14?

All together that would give me 128 I think.

Pyrrho has SF listed twice.

What do you know . . . Pyrrho picked a team he already had. Technically his only option was NE http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u264 ... /brood.gif Normally, I will make "default" picks, but I did not this time since so many people had options.

If there is no objection, he should get what he could only pick?

So if people do not have objections I will give swell and Pyrrho their pickies. As I said, this is suppose to be fun and, after originally picking the 69'rs to lose, believe me I had hoped no one noticed I changed it to the Seamen :(

Anyways this means that TWO posters have the option for the Radrick Bonus :eager: THAT you will have to inform me about unless you want the easy Dipshit Bonus.

You guys are too nice. I know of fantasy leagues where they play for blood! I thank you all for it.

If nominated, I will not run.
If elected, I will not serve-er pick a movie.

I think Wildcat has it in the bag anyway.

I don't think it matters mathematically at this point. It's down to Wildcat and Grammy, dependent on the outcome of the Super Bowl.

Unless, of course, he just wants to finish with more points than Dr. X, in which case he has my full support.

You know . . . there is a "big" UK following for the Patriots for some odd reason. One fan is an ex-special forces who deals with security in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Why is all of that important?

Said guy explained the football soccer rankings in the UK to the Official Pats Press Dudes [All Rights Reserv'd by Robert Kraft. Do not fuck with him.--Ed.]. How teams can be "demoted" to a lower level for failure to perform.

The Official Pats Press Dudes love the idea--"someone get Robert on the line!"--and could you imagine it? You would have a real "minor league" for football that is not called "America's Hat" and it would force poorly run teams--sorry Pyrrho--to get their acts together.

In a way we already have it. Current pundits have already declared that next year, if everyone is healthy--always an "if" in the NFL--we have the Patriots, Indy, a fight between Baltimore and Pittsburgh, Denver fighting with KC and, of course, Seattle, Niners, New Orleans, and Some Team from the NFC East which Means Dallas is on the East Coast. Certain teams have gotten their "acts together."

Pats Fan Boys [Tm.--Ed.] will bleat "the Pats shoulda been 14-2 and hosting Penis Head I Won This Game as a Team in Foxboroug(h)!!!" Cooler heads will remind them they "shoulda" lost to New Orleans and Cleveland and been 10-6. The games turn on such fine lines to mix metaphors like a fine mist of concrete.

But Jacksonville? Cleveland? Detroit? Oakland? . . . perhaps they need to be demoted for a few years and be forced to get their acts together.
