Woot!

Hey, we did better than some famous European soccer countries that have won the whole thing before.

Belgium is next. I hear they're pretty good.

Well, with the NHL, NBA finished, NFL is in break before pre-season, and MLB in not yet halfway, we are in sort of a dead period for sports. . . .

Watching the Red Sox find new ways to lose is way better than watching a soccer game.

There is more action.

Besides, this is the year they expected to have last year.

Oh well. The better team won I guess. They took like 5 times as many shots as America.

Still, it was exciting at the end. That was a crazy play on the free kick and it almost worked. Great goal by Green too.

Wow, yeah. I wasn't able to watch this one but I don't think even Neymar's injury is enough to explain that.

Germany-Holland in the final or Argentina? I think it's going to be Holland.

Neymar being out of the game wasn't (IMO) so much of a factor as Thiago Silva being out of the game was. The defense was utterly disorganized during the 18 minute stretch of the first five goals. I don't think Silva's presence (hell, not even him and Neymar) would have changed the outcome, it would have only kept it from being a total ass whoopin'.

Well I suppose if you look at the games leading up to this, there might have been some clues that Germany could be really explosive on offense. They beat Portugal 4-0. Brazil OTOH couldn't score against Mexico, against Chile it went to penalty kicks. Then you take away two of Brazil's best players.

There's no doubt that Brazil was really lucky to get as far as they did. The first game of the group stage they fell behind and struggled, then managed to squeak out a win by the skin of their teeth. The talk all along has been that this team just wasn't up to the same standards as in previous years.

Germany, as you note, showed early on that it was the team to beat (despite the scare from Ghana). The really interesting part is that they're fielding four natural center backs on defense that tend to stay at home. On previous World Cup teams they've used left and right backs that regularly jumped in on the attack, which tended to leave them open to counters.

Apparently stadium authorities asked German fans to remain until the Brazilians were all herded out, then protection was provided to them as they left.

"Ebaum's" is notorious for stealing content from artists. They have been multiply sued. Some fora simply ban you for posting from them.

I would suggest you find the Japanese original artwork and post that.

Everyone knows that they haven't won the World Cup since Kim Jong Il died. He averaged 17 goals per game, despite being the only player on the N. Korean team.
