White Heat. Still remarkably good but a remake would be interesting

How did you feel about 'Triffids'? Lots of other versions including a '09 remake. Haven't seen that one yet myself.

Adapted from the book by John Wyndham.

Chocky should be made into a movie. The Midwich Cuckoos was a great read too, 3 movie versions are all meh.

On a similar thread, I stated that I would like to see a fairly obscure low-budget horror movie called Shock Waves, redone with a budget larger than the price of a crappy used car.

Another movie I would like to see is Guillermo DelToro's At The Mountains of Madness, an adaptation of the Lovecraft novella by the same name. He has been wanting to make it since the 90s, but the studio kept insisting he make it PG-13 and he felt he couldn't do it justice unless he made R. So it fell into development hell and stayed there. Probably will never leave it either because the plot shares some similarities with Prometheus. Which is too bad because I think it is way better, makes far more sense and I have seen some of the story boards and mock ups of props and it looks like it would have been awesome

Maybe its because I have been playing lots of Battletech (On the computer, not the original boardgame version, though I wish) lately, but Battletech.

If you are not familiar with the game or the universe, just think Game of Thrones....IN SPAAAAAACE with big giant stompy robots. Lots of potential there. The computer game version has you working as a mercenary in the employ of a deposed noblewoman who wants to regain her throne after a coup. But the universe encompasses numerous factions and a very long timeline with lots of betrayal and war. So plenty of potential there

Heck yeah, that would go really well. The only potential trouble is that it might appear derivative of all the stompy robot movies that stole from Battletech.

"When Worlds Collide" was a great trilogy, and while the original movie was fun, it's dated. Needs a serious remake.

There was talk, a few years back of a Jaws remake in the works. A comedy starring Tracy Morgan.

Got derailed by his accident. That accident may have sucked for Mr. Morgan but it worked out for the movie going public
