This from Miss Belle Rankin riveted me:
Few writers could/can turn a phrase as well as Capote. He really was a master of the English language.I was so young that I never thought that I would ever be old, that I would ever die.
Anyway, I was poking around, trying to find his collected essays/reviews and found this "interview" with Marlon Brando ca. 1957 (full story at the link).

I have a pal who was a bartender in NY ages ago. One of his patrons was Capote. He told me that when asked "how much orange juice in your vodka, Mr. Capote?" Capote replied "just enough to murk it up". :D My kinda guy.
