“It’s pretty clear now that people [with COVID-19] produce aerosols [while] speaking and talking and singing and breathing,” says Kimberly Prather, an aerosol chemist at the University of California, San Diego, who coauthored the comment in The Lancet. These aerosols don’t fall, she adds, but “are like cigarette smoke, and being in a room with someone who is potentially infectious is like being in a room with a cigarette smoker.” Prather says it is “shocking” to her that “there is even a debate at all” about aerosol transmission.
It was pretty clear to me in 2020 that SARS II is exactly like SARS I in spreading. It can also spread in sewer gas, which means if somebody farts who is shedding the virus on their feces, and you can smell the fart, you just breathed in the virus.

Unless you mask stops the smell of a fart, it isn't stopping you from breathing the virus.

Also, the feces route is how deer got Covid, you dumbass media fucks. And how it spreads.

Goddamn the authorities are not only liars, they are also actually insane and stupid.

But, considering how the CDC and all the other authorities have never ever explained how the flu shows up each year, where the variants come from, how it spreads, them being dishonest about Covid is just how they are.

So lemme tell you how this mask thing worked in practice. I was at the office today. I was one of two people wearing a mask--and the posted company rules are to remain masked when in the office. The first meeting I was in had six people, maskless, inside a room that normally seats two people, three if necessary. Ventilation is not the best.

"Pyrrho, are you joining us?"

"Nope."

Second meeting was in a larger conference room with eight people, maskless.

Later there was a lunch counter where several folks, maskless, lined up to handle the same utensils, grab food from Chipotle, etc.

(I had brought my own lunch, by the way. I do not trust others to provide sustenance. Which was wise, because they ate all of the catered fare.)

The futility of wearing a mask was obvious. Best it could possibly do would have been to delay the inevitable.

Nobody is panicking while vaccinated people are dying in greater numbers

Same for the side effects and long term damage from experiments done on millions of children

Because the media hasn’t told them to

But how easy is it to actually get any?

Here in Japan, you can only get it (paxlovid) in a hospital at the moment. It works best supposedly when given as early as possible after the onset of symptoms. The study population didn't include people who had been vaccinated. I think right now it's more of a niche treatment.

I would like to see real world data that shows the CFR actually coming down where the new antiviral pills are available.

Meanwhile, some research on Long Covid:

Nerve damage may explain some cases of long COVID -U.S. study
CHICAGO, March 1 (Reuters) - A small study of patients suffering from persistent symptoms long after a bout of COVID-19 found that nearly 60% had nerve damage possibly caused by a defective immune response, a finding that could point to new treatments, U.S. researchers reported on Tuesday.

The study involved in depth exams of 17 people with so-called long COVID, a condition that arises within three months of a COVID-19 infection and lasts at least two months.

"I think what's going on here is that the nerves that control things like our breathing, blood vessels and our digestion in some cases are damaged in these long COVID patients," said Dr. Anne Louise Oaklander, a neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and a lead author on the study published in Neurology: Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation.

As many as 30% of people who have COVID-19 are believed to develop long COVID, a condition with symptoms ranging from fatigue, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, cognitive difficulties, chronic pain, sensory abnormalities and muscle weakness.
It sounds like "a defective immune response" means an auto-immune condition. These auto-immune conditions are more prevalent in women, although not because they are hysterical. It has to do with the chromosomes.
In the current study, 11 of the 17 patients were treated with either steroids or intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), a standard treatment for patients with small nerve fiber damage caused by an immune response. Some improved though none were cured.

While the results would only apply to long COVID patients with this type of nerve damage, it is possible that immunotherapy could be helpful, said Dr. Avindra Nath, an expert in neuroimmunology at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and a study co-author.

"To me, it suggests that we need to do a proper prospective study of these kinds of patients" testing the drugs in a randomized trial, Nath said.

Over the weekend, an international team of scientists published two extensive papers online, offering the strongest evidence to date that the COVID-19 pandemic originated in animals at a market in Wuhan, China. Specifically, they conclude that the coronavirus most likely jumped from a caged wild animal into people at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where a huge COVID-19 outbreak began in December 2019.

Invasive Aspergillosis and Mucormycosis in Patients With COVID-19

Invasive aspergillosis and mucormycosis are life-threatening infections caused by environmental molds. Invasive aspergillosis most often affects the lungs (pulmonary aspergillosis), while mucormycosis most often affects the sinuses, lungs, or skin.[1] Classic patient risk factors for these conditions include hematologic malignancies, stem cell or solid organ transplantation, and other forms of severe immunosuppression.[2,3] Uncontrolled diabetes is an important risk factor for mucormycosis.[2]

COVID-19 is likely to increase the risk for pulmonary aspergillosis and mucormycosis because of COVID-19–induced immune dysregulation and treatments for COVID-19 (eg, corticosteroids) that weaken host immune defenses against molds.[4,5] COVID-19–associated pulmonary aspergillosis (CAPA) and mucormycosis (CAM) have emerged globally as public health threats during the pandemic. Researchers estimate that CAPA might occur in more than 10% of mechanically ventilated COVID-19 patients.[5]

For vaccine-induced enhanced susceptibility to infection with certain viruses like feline coronavirus, Dengue virus, and feline immunodeficiency virus, it has been shown that antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) plays an important role. Other mechanisms may, either in the absence of or in combination with ADE, be involved. Consequently, vaccine-induced enhancement has been a major stumble block in the development of certain flavi-, corona-, paramyxo-, and lentivirus vaccines.
