Welcome newbies thread

Post by renata »

Say hi, people :)

Great job, Girl 6. Thanks for creating this place.

BTW, when you blow up the test forum, will registrations/threads remain? And, can I push the red button?

Btw, I am user number 69....hmmm...I hope this place is prophetic....

Ok, other people, reveal yourselves.

LOL!

I'm not sure what will happen when I blow away the Test Forum. But, I will give everyone a fair amount of warning. :D

Just when we have a community started, the Administrators have to destroy it. . . .

Figured I'd register and go back to my usual pattern of browsing the threads without comment until something strikes my fancy.

Ow!!! That hurt my fancy!

What do you mean you're going to blow it away!? Are you going to archive it first? Can we tell you which threads we think are important? Why can't you just rename the forum and keep it?

You know, this is typical of moderators. Blowing away threads without concern for the people who put in their time and talents to creating the threads in the first place. If we had our own forum, no moderators would be blowing away threads. This really pisses me off!

I'm tempted to start my own skeptical community forum. Perhaps I'll register scepticalcommunity.com. Cripes!

Hello. Now I have to figure out how to get an avatar. The one at JREF was too big and complicated.

Thank you for coming up with it! And you're welcome :D

Let's see if it is working here...it doesn't seem to be showing up...

There we go! Just had to post after changing it.

Worship me! I've joined the exodus and am here to help break in these new daisy dukes. And by daisy dukes, I mean, board. Shame there are no daisy dukes, because we skepchicks could raise some good money for SC that way.

I'll admit it. I stick up my nose at newbies. Which is why it's a pain in the ass that I am one again. Humph.

And I have to figure out how to put up Mr Mason. I don't even remember the address I had him hosted at. How will anyone respect me without the Parrot?! Must....have....respect!!!

Hi there. Apparently I didn't post enough at the JREF to even be noticed (but be assured I was there). I really like getting in on the ground floor of things like this (user 35!).

edited to add: apparently I got bumped up to #35

Well, I used a link to an avatar in a post I made on JREF. Hope that doesn't bog things down over there. Heh.

Heh. I did the same but wasn't going to admit to it. Perhaps that's why I can't access JREF now. :)

Hmmm. I paste a link to an avatar on JREF in my profile here. Now JREF is down.

And yet, my avatar is still visible here.

I finally made it here (I know you are all thrilled). I'm not pulling my avatar from the JREF. I figure a new place calls for a new avatar. I'm looking for one now.

From what I have seen so far, I'm going to like this place.

Sundog we two must have a really nasty fight one of these days. I have shown you too much affection and I am worried about myself.

Now, where is this pic or yours with long hair you have promised?
