The Dark Room

Post by Quester_X »

Found this online, and it completely captivated me. Prepare to spend at least two hours on it, but it saves your progress, so you can quit if you need a break.

Here's the link:

I got through mostly by myself, but I needed a hint for the red room and the green room.
Discussion of the game here, plus some hints and tips:

The only advice I'd give you to start is get a piece of paper and a pencil handy, diagraming things out really helps on some of the puzzles. I'll keep checking in, and I did manage to beat it, so if you need help, ask me.

Marian posted this last December. I played it then, but forgot how I got through it. It is very well done and you are right... It does take about 2 hours.

Ha! I hadn't noticed that, but you're right. She even has the same title and everything! I'll have to be more careful next time.
On topic, do you see the puzzle as the inside of a room, or as a cube? I saw it as a cube, until someone pointed out that you can see it either way... an optical illusion, I suppose. Easier to graph out as a cube.

I guess I saw it more as a room.
